Dwayne Bacon 6-6 WF Lakeland, FL McKeel Academy – This explosive wing man, attacked the hoop and showed range to the NBA arc while scoring 12 points (2-3 from three) and was aggressive on the defensive end grabbing two steals for quick buckets. He definitely has tools to be a scorer at the next level. tbcnets.com/nbpa-top-100-camp-session-one/

Rivals Eric Bossi impressed with bacon. Below is piece from a recent article:
Dwayne Bacon was sizzling on Thursday. In the class of 2015, Jaylen Brown has started to separate himself from the small forward pack with Ray Smith giving chase. Dwayne Bacon is also entering into that level of elite wing and deserves a little more credit than he has gotten so far during the grassroots season.
During Thursday's first game, Bacon was making lots of plays while racking up 12 points as his Rockets took out the Knicks.
Bacon is ready for the next level from an athletic and strength standpoint. While he is capable of bullying opponents, his ability to put the ball on the floor, transition playmaking and ever improving jump shot have made him a true force to be reckoned with.
Rivals.com will be updating the class of 2015 Rivals150 shortly after NBPA Camp ends and based on what he has shown in Charlottesville and other stops along the way, Bacon deserves serious consideration for five-star status and looks to be in a good position to move up from his current spot of No. 33 nationally.

The sooner wing Deng Adel commits to Louisville the better. Bacon would be a big get. hoopsintel.sportswar.com/2014/06/19/georgetown-louisville-coaches-making-an-impression-on-dwayne-bacon/Dwayne Bacon is one of the elite scorers in the Class of 2015 nationally. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Bacon recently announced he has made the transfer from Mckeel Academy in Lakeland (FL) to national prep powerhouse Oak Hill for his senior year. Already a major name nationally in the class before heading to Oak Hill, Bacon brings major athleticism to the court and uses his physically gifted 6’6 frame effectively in getting past the defense, before then rising up over the taller trees for a highlight jam. Bacon continues to expand his offensive arsenal and is also more than capable of hitting the deep ball off the catch. He is a playmaker on the offensive end of the floor and also can guard multiple spots on the perimeter because of his length and lateral skills. The rising senior has major upside at his fingertips and continues to mature into a well-rounded facilitator on the offensive end of the floor and thus his recruitment is at the highest level of the college game currently. “I love Coach Pitino,” Bacon told HoopsIntel.com’s Matt Whitfield earlier today at the NBPA Top 100 Camp of the Louisville coach. ”He’s a great man and coach…who wouldn’t want to play for Rick Pitino.” Bacon is also developing a relationship with UL assistant coach Mike Balado who has extensive ties to the Sunshine State, mentioning they recently spoke. Regardless, Bacon looks forward to showcasing his talents in July when the Cardinals head caoch will be watching. “He’ll be at my games in July at the live period,” Bacon said of Pitino. Another program leaving a strong impression on Bacon with their recruitment of him is the for Louisville conference rival Georgetown Hoyas of the Big East. With Kevin Sutton, another with deep Florida ties, on the Hoyas staff, Georgetown is strongly in the mix as well. “I hear a lot from Coach Sutton,” said Bacon. ”He hits me up pretty much every other day. We’ve formed a great relationship.” With Sutton the relationship is going past just basketball, and that was noted as important to Bacon. “I had a home visit with him,” said Bacon. ”He’s not here for just basketball. He is here for the academics even if I…go four years.” Scoring the basketball is a skill that is always in demand at every level of the game. Few do it better or more consistently than Dwayne Bacon in the Class of 2015. While many schools are in the hunt for this talented guard, it looks like Louisville and Georgetown have put themselves in strong position in their quest to land him. HoopsIntel.com will pay close attention to the developments in his recruitment through the summer.

With Trier seemingly slipping away. Bacon is my #1 guard target.

Do we think the staff wants both Bacon and Reaves at this point? I would have to think Bacon is a higher priority, but based on what has been written here it sounds like Reaves is a top focus too.

This is just my opinion but I don't think reaves is happy we slowed played him. With that being said I wouldn't mind polishing off this class with williams and bacon

Top Performers: Dwayne Bacon Jr., 6’5”, 2015, SF, Oak Hill Academy (VA) When the ball came loose, Dwayne Bacon scooped it up and sprinted down the court for a game winning dunk in overtime. The final basket was the cherry on top of the sundae for the five-star wing. In a close win, Bacon scored 16 points on 7-12 shooting and put together a strong performance in both halves. He started off cold from the outside, but got to the rim time and time again in the first half and finished with contact. In the second half his jump shot started to fall and he knocked in a three from the top of the key and while dribbling left off a pick. The 6’5” Bacon also tried to take it upon himself to stop shooting guard Antonio Blakeney and managed to frustrate him on several occasions. hoopniks.com/2014-nbpa-top-100-camp-thursday-night-recap/Bacon taking game to a new level Dwayne Bacon was sizzling on Thursday. It's definitely possible that Reaves thinks we slow-played him and holds it against us but I don't think it's likely. His own team sort of slow-played him as he didn't really even play a role until Franklin Howard went down. Once he started producing, most majors were slow to offer. While we were on the later side of an offer, we weren't the last by any means and recruited him well before that. And let's remember that Trier, who was just offered by Arizona about a minute ago, doesn't seem to be holding it against them and that was far more egregious since Trier has been a known quantity for awhile.

Seeing that Reaves left PVI for Oak Hill after his breakout year, the case could be made that he did hold it against them for not playing him early on.. I agree with Rpn on Reaves, it seems like his offer just became committable after his latest visit..
