That young man from the video looks like a prime recruit for the Western U Dolphins and Coach Petey Bell!

As always possible talent is still available... Gtown needs playmakers at all positions... basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/cancer-research-classic-friday-s-top-takeawaysDillon Jones is one of the more under-recruited seniors nationally. The native of South Carolina had an excellent showing in West Virginia and while he might not be an overly explosive athlete that jumps off the page, he is a versatile forward that checks many of the boxes. Finishing with game high honors in points, Jones isn’t valued greatest for his scoring but rather for his ability to be used as a giant playmaker of sorts, rebound and do many of the smaller things that don’t always go noticed for on the final stat sheet. Evansville is practically the lone program involved with him but expect more to become involved as the season wanes onward

He doesn't have interest from the staff yet but should...
Gaines had an official breakout party in the Tournament of Champions at Wheeler High School Dec. 27. The senior lit up No. 1 Grayson for 34 points, despite his team picking up its only loss of the season in the process.
“[Eric Gaines] is showing that he’s one of the best guards [still available],” Lithonia head coach Wallace Corker said. “He’s an exceptional ball player and a great leader. He does all of the things we need him to do.”
Even with what Gaines has done on the court this season, it’s what he had to do to get there that tells much of his story.
Gaines was slated to play AAU basketball on the Nike EYBL circuit for Team United last summer. That’s big time. That means Gaines would have been playing in front of the top college coaches, scouts and recruiting analysts daily.
In his first three games, Gaines averaged 21 points per game, four rebounds per game, four assists per game and three steals per game.
Those stats gave Gaines the second most steals per game and the 16th most points per game in the most competitive AAU circuit in the country. Those stats would have given Gaines more points per game than the top ranked player in 2021, Jonathan Kuminga, and more steals per game than five-star players such as Devin Askew, BJ Boston and others.
Kuminga has received offers from Duke, Kentucky and every other blue blood school in the country, while Askew and Boston are already committed to Kentucky.
Gaines was starting to catch up in that department, with college coaches coming to his games and his name appearing in EYBL previews.
Unfortunately, a hairline stress fracture cut Gaines’ AAU season short, and those three games were his only games.
Without that injury, Cory Underwood, one of Gaines’ AAU coaches, said Gaines could have been a top 70 player.

Man is the buzz high for this kid now...
The staff needs to go hard on this one...
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about Eric Gaines after the Tournament of Champions in Atlanta during the holidays. To sum it up quickly: he’s a high-major talent that schools all over the country need to be tracking if they are in need of a guard next season.
I first saw Gaines in the summer of 2018. My first look was at Georgia’s team camp in June, where he was really impressive. But it was the Battle For Georgia, with all the top teams in the Peach State in July, where he really grew on me. The game just comes easy for him. He has a smooth-looking shot, elite athleticism and he’s a really good passer that makes good decisions with the ball. When he’s locked in, he’s a terror on the defensive end as well.
At that time, he was only about 6-foot-1 and really thin. Over the past 18 months, he’s shot up to about 6-foot-4 and probably has a 6-foot-7 wingspan. After watching him last month, not only do I think he’s a high-major talent but somebody that needs to be ranked comfortably inside the top 100 in the next update. Before the Early Signing Period, he took official visits to Dayton, Georgia State and Saint Louis. Most recently, Washington State extended an offer to the class of 2020 guard. I’m expecting more schools to jump into the mix very soon.

He definitely is a player to watch and hopefully the staff reaches out to see if he has an interest in Georgetown.

You're probably right about the shots but with his physical capabilities, he should be able to adjust...

They have three 2020 SG's maybe more, Selton Miguel is a Kansas State commit! Jadrian Tracey looks nice but my money would be on 6-5 AJ Staton/Aderes Staton-McCray! He's very quick and athletic, IMO he's got the frame and quickness of Jonathan Mulmore but better shot mechanics. I looked up AJ Staton. He looks like a possibility. 6’5” guard/wing, shot 45% from three in AAU this summer for Team Breakdown. Supposedly a good defender. Can never have enough guys with that profile. The staff has been out to West Oaks not sure if Staton has turned heads... 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/AJ-Staton-Appalachian-State-DePaul-Northwestern-Illinois-State-140935138/Staton showed the long-range in the match up with Chattanooga (Tenn.) Hamilton Heights, knocking down three of his five three-pointer attempts.
“Always, even when I’m off I feel confident,” Staton said about his jump shot.
Two of the three three-pointers Staton knocked down were from well behind the three-point stripe.

Former NBA player Anthony Carter's son.

I feel like the Hoyas typically get in the mix for these types of New England recruits, so might be one to keep an eye on.
