How about Sacar Anim? The youngster is starting to get a lot of HM talk.. He's listed at 6-5, 190 with a 6-8 wingspan.. Scored 11.8 ppg in the EYBL this summer for Howard Pulley.. Not exactly the lead guard type I'd like to see but he can be a Jabril/Bowen type Good point, we do have a lot of wings right now but a solid 2 that can play the 3 will be nice, especially if Peak doesn't stay 4 years.

True story was about to post something on this kid and Christian Williams SG out of Chicago last night but got sidetracked.. Wouldn’t mind the staff taking a look at all. Plays on the same team as Minnesota commit Jarvis Johnson and has had a better summer and HS season thus far. Just wish he shot it better from the perimeter. Saw recently Marquette was close to offering...

Saw recently Marquette was close to offering... He looks the part to me.. The thing that stands out to me is that he played aau with some good players this summer, kids like 2015 Jarvis Johnson(Minnesota), Alex Illiakenin(Wisconsin) & Sam Nuemann(Montana State). Seems like he played better than all of them.. It'd be nice if he shot better but his form isn't that bad so I think he can improve.. I like the fact that he finishes at the rim on his drives... He shot 9-34 from 3 in the EYBL.. www.d1circuit.com/stats/team_instance/719645?subseason=148178&tab=team_instance_player_stats&tool=985828The staff needs to get to work on rounding out the 2015 class..

(NC) 2016 PG Ty Gadsden (@tygadsden2) picks up interest from Georgetown.. Gadsden is an all-around point guard. He isn’t the fastest guy and isn’t the best shooter, but he makes a lot of positive plays and is a very capable decision-maker who has above-average quickness. In Victory Christian’s win over Kennedy Charter, Gadsden scored 14 points on 5-10 shooting, hitting 1-2 on threes. While those aren’t jaw-dropping numbers, he also passed unselfishly and is a particularly aggressive defender. With quick feet and sound instincts, Gadsden could become a fine performer on that end of the court. The southpaw also possesses a solid frame upon which he should grow strong. He also has a budding recruitment underway. ”Georgetown and SMU came to watch me in open gyms this fall,” Gadsden said. “Charlotte has offered me.” scouthoops.scout.com/story/1481888-gadsden-holding-steady

zagsblog.com/articles/malik-ellison-stole-the-show-in-impressive-victory-at-hoophall-discusses-schools/When asked what schools are on him the hardest he listed Minnesota, Indiana, Creighton, Georgetown, Temple and Maryland. All of those schools have offered except for Georgetown.
He has taken one official visit to Minnesota, which seemed to leave a lasting impression on him.
“It was nice,” Ellison said. “They’re in need of a scorer.”
Coach Richard Pitino told him that “He would play major minutes as a freshman,” which he mentioned as one of the most important factors in making his decision.
After the season Ellison mentioned that he would like to take the rest of his officials, and plans on deciding during the April signing period.Georgetown: “I haven’t talked to them as much, I’ve only talked to them a little bit. He could be a good replacement for Air Bowen given his height and his ability to score from both inside the paint and on the perimeter. I think his sister is at school at Maryland if that helps any. If we do happen to get him there's going to be a log jam at the SF with White, Copeland, and Cameron he'll definitely have to play SG if he wants minutes.

Michael Bohlin @mbohlin247 26m26 minutes ago A '15 three-star SG has the #Hoyas as one of 6 schools on his list after a big #HHClassic performance. 247sports.com/Bolt/Malik-Ellison-names-six-schools-after-big-performance-34858615 … via @247sports ELLISON GOES OFF Malik Ellison stole the show on day two of the Hoop Hall Classic. Ellison, a 6-foot-5 wing at Burlington (N.J.) Life Center Academy, pumped in 28 points on 11-for-25 shooting and also recorded four steals in Life Center Academy’s win. Ellison has clearly grown since my last viewing, but he was also much more aggressive on offense than in the past. A pretty good athlete, Ellison hunted long-range shots and made multiple of them in the first half. As the game wore on Ellison attacked more off the dribble and made plays at the rim. “I think it’s a matter of growing and his game is just getting better,” Life Center Academy coach and Ellison’s father – Pervis Ellison – said after the game. According to Ellison’s father, who starred at Louisville in the late 1980’s, his son has scholarship offers from schools in the ACC, SEC and Big Ten. Ellison has taken just one visit so far. “He’s only taken one,” he said. “He went to Minnesota. That was about two weeks ago.” “He liked it,” he added. “It went well. At this stage, Ellison doesn’t have any other college visits set up and is looking at deciding sometime after his senior season. “It’s definitely going to be in the spring signing period,” he said. “After the season because he’s definitely going to take more visits.” scouthoops.scout.com/story/1503671-hoop-hall-day-two-rundown?s=75&utm_content=bufferf0abb&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=bufferMost notably absent from that list is Louisville, the school his father led to an NCAA title as a freshman. “They’re a really good school,” he said. “But I don’t really want to follow in my dad’s footsteps. I want to be my own person.” That doesn’t mean he minds having his father as a coach. “He’s been everywhere I want to go to,” Malik said. “He cares a lot about me and other players. The down effect is he’s harder on me, but that’s just love.” usatodayhss.com/2015/mervis-ellison-not-nervous-about-making-a-name-for-himself

Article was written a year ago.. When I watched him play yesterday he reminded me of the Nickens kid @ Maryland, very similar build.. articles.baltimoresun.com/2014-01-23/sports/bal-scouting-report-scoop-on-maryland-terps-class-of-2015-guard-target-malik-ellison-20140123_1_guard-target-nickens-big-gameEllison considers his biggest strengths to be his size at guard, his scoring ability and his high basketball IQ. He stands close to 6 feet 5 and has grown up playing the point guard position. His current role at Life Center is more of a combo-guard type, however, although he looks to pass and handles the ball a lot.
His game at the next level seems to fit best as a small forward or, more accurately, a point-forward. Ellison is expected to grow at least another inch or two, so he should have the height for the position, and he’ll need to spend time in the weight room to be able to play the position.

Nice adds to frontcourt. Hoping for some backcourt signings. Sorry team didn't get one from Bacon and Mann after seeing them light it up from site postings. One nice strength of team this season is flexibility to go smaller with good quickness at all 5 spots.
Any 2/3 position recruits we are in decent shape with?

I hope the interest is real on both sides Talos.. A class of Derrickson, Govan, Agua(not technically I know) & Ellison or Kaleb Johnson would be very good in my eyes.. Lots of skill, length, athleticism & interchangeable type players..
