Tevin Mack 2015 SG/SF Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 1m 2015 Carolina Wolves wing Tevin Mack has gained interest from Georgetown, Tennessee, & Kansas, since he finished up in Pittsburgh last wknd 97 on Rivals but after he averaged 36pts a game at Pitt Jamfest this weekend prob not going to stay there. This is a little surprising to me. We've got two guards already in 2014, plus it looks like me might bring in two more guards in 2015. He's another relatively short PG like Tre also. Does this mean the staff likes Austin better than some of the 2015 guards? Are they not confident in getting some of their favorite guard prospects in 2015? Oh well, bring in talented players and let them battle it out for pt... Can someone send me a link for LJ that will convince me that he can be a counted on as a guard/primary ball handler? He seems more like a Jabril level handle which I don't want to count on during crunch time. Everyone keeps saying that out offense doesn't need guards to run the offense, but how many times did Markel take over a game for us last season because he could beat his man off the dribble? What if DSR gets injured? Count me in the camp that says we need another guard, not Austin necessarily, but someone. Don't get me wrong, I definitely would feel more comfortable with more ball handlers on the team. I don't feel comfortable with just one or two good ball handlers on a roster. I was just saying I'm surprised JTIII is looking at another short PG for 2014 after already bringing in Tre. We all saw what happened when Wright got hurt; we didn't really have a backup ballhandler. Imagine if Markel had been hurt last year. That being said, I think Paul White can actually be a backup ballhandler. He is not dynamic with the ball, but very solid and a good passer. His handle looks better than Peak or Jabril to be honest.

Maryland transfer Roddy Peters didn't make his scheduled trip to West Virginia; per a source, the Mountaineers canceled due to scheduling conflicts. Peters, however, has been adding to his list of suitors. Oregon, Virginia, Villanova and Cincinnati have all called within the past few days, joining Georgetown, Virginia Tech, South Florida and St. Joe's in pursuit.

I'd assume his recruiting will include the big boys at some point, but the current list is not exactly a murderer's row of competition for the Hoyas, particularly given the relationship the staff has with Team Takeover.

GP update:
"The EYBL is different from high school and the other tournaments we go to because it's faster, all the big names are there so you improve yourself from that," Papagiannis told IMS. "It's a new experience for me."
Kansas, Virginia, West Virginia, Temple, Villanova, Georgetown, Miami, Pittsburgh and Maryland are all recruiting the big Greek right now.
Says he is going to take an official to UMD at some point.. Didn’t get the vibe from that article that he is really focused on recruiting at this point
