Heard the staff watched 2015 wing Marcus Sheffield tonight as he went for 36 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals. Georgia, Florida State and Maryland get mentioned a lot with his recruitment.

Watching De La Rosa last night on CBSsports channel in the tourney Derrickson is also in. I wouldn't be too upset if that's the big we get. He has some skills. that video a couple pages back must be from last year because he can get up and down the floor. He also is pretty well put together now. He definitely looked like he lost some weight. They also mentioned that he was a legit 7-0 now.

Josh Sharma 6-11 C 2015 I really would like to see the staff get involved with this kid.. He seems a good fit for the program.. www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24271533/national-prep-showcase-notebook-jarvis-garrett-raises-stockSharma, 6-foot-11 center, is a matchup problem for most opponents due to his size and athleticism. He runs the floor very well for someone his size, but he's not averse to the paint and the backboards.Sharma has offers from Maryland, Vanderbilt, Providence, Boston College, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Connecticut, while Creighton and West Virginia are showing interest. He's taken trips to Boston College, Providence and Connecticut – with the Eagles recruiting him the hardest.
However, Sharma has no favorites right now.
“How they use their bigs,” he said of what he's looking for in a school. “A school that likes to use their bigs not just on the low post, but also on the perimeter, running the floor.”Eric Bossi @ebosshoops 14m Not a lot of guys with Sharma's size/mobility and upside. Even hit a three that looked natural. Intriguing prospect. Will he bang? Rick Lewis @coach_Rick57 10m 7'0 Josh Sharma of NMH highly skilled with IQ. Sees floor well for size. Has extended range on his jumper. Good hands will need strength.. Someone from the staff should be on this kid or players like him.. It's good to go after the top players but they need to have 2nd level recruits also, I'm not seeing that in the bigs they're chasing for 2015..

Vance Jackson 2016 6’7 SF/G Top 50 recruit
Jackson, 6-8, is a top-level shooter in the Class of 2016. It's early in the process, and UCLA, Kansas, USC, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington and Georgetown are schools he said were in the picture.

Good point; it seems to a pattern in recent years to spend time and resources recruiting the elite bigs....lose out on them....and then be stuck with leftovers... It seems that's what happened in 2014; made Elbert the priority and then lost out on the second tier (Chukwu, Welsh, etc.) and now we're scrambling for a big. I agree, from reading the reports Sharma seems perfect for out system.

- Keep an eye out on the development of 2015 big man Josh Sharma of Northfield (Mass.) Mt. Hermon. Already ranked No. 87 in the Rivals150, the seven-footer has a chance to make a move up the rankings this spring in summer. Not only is Sharma big, he is highly athletic, runs well and has very good hands. He isn't the most physical player just yet, but he showed loads of upside while scoring 13 points. After struggling with foul trouble early. He can play above the rim and has a good-looking jump shot on top of that. Sharma took a visit to Wisconsin earlier this month and says his recruitment has started to take off. Illinois recently offered, Boston College, Creighton and Vanderbilt have all offered while Indiana and Florida have recently gotten involved.
"Interest has picked up, especially after I took my first official visit to Wisconsin," Sharma told Rivals.com on Sunday. "Illinois offered and then I talked to Florida, Indiana, Gonzaga and Creighton offered yesterday (Saturday).
"I really like Wisconsin, Illinois, Vanderbilt and a few other schools. I'm talking to Creighton a lot, too. Boston College is recruiting me a lot and I like them, too. They are in the mix."

Josh Sharma – 6’11 power forward – Northfield Mt. Hermon 2015 Northfield Mt. Hermon is the Ivy League school of New England prep basketball. Coach Carroll has thrown out a number of high academic prospects that have decided to make their way onto the most prestigious academic conference in all of the land, but with Josh Sharma, the highest level of competitive play could be in his calling. After recently receiving offers from Wisconsin and Illinois, the junior big man is about to burst onto the scene full fledge. Just like his past NMH brethren, Sharma carries a high end GPA and an intellect to him off the floor. Returning from an injury that kept him out of view at the most recent National Prep Showcase in November, the 2015 big is about ready to make a name for himself in attempting to guard Kimball Union’s, Malik Abu. Sharma is as versatile as they come displaying a lanky frame capable of either stepping out and hitting the 3 off of the ball reversal, or running the floor and displaying some bounce at the rim. The highly active forward has a Plumlee-like feel to his game and it would seem that this weekend, Josh Sharma will supplant himself as a tremendous high-major recruit in the junior crop. roundballrundownreport.com/

2016 G Eric Hester top 30 Soph Ranked 27th in the class of 2016 by 247 Sports, and the 3rd ranked combo guard in the nation, Hester, listed at 6-foot-3, has received offers from Louisville, Southern California, Miami, Ole’ Miss, South Florida, and TCU. “Right now, Eric has about 5 to 10 high major offers,” Fair said. “ Georgetown has shown interest, Florida State, South Carolina, Florida is recruiting him pretty hard right now.” “He really defends, he’s probably our best defender,” Fair told SNY.tv after a loss to Lakewood on Monday night. “He hits shots and provides us with another scorer and shot maker. Right now, he’s trying to make the transition to playing the point which isn’t easy for anyone who’s used to being a scorer their whole life, but he’s been a very good defender and shot maker for us.” zagsblog.com/articles/2016-guard-eric-hester-gaining-high-major-attention/#more-108833
