Absolutely Appalling and ridiculous if this happens to Chris Wright!

Greg Whittington is head to the Sydney Kings. I'm not surprised he went overseas as I am sure he wanted a payday but surprised it was to the NBL. Australia isn't the worst place to live though.

Yaboy Posted this earlier in NBA Hoyas thread
The Sydney Kings will this weekend announce their second import signing of the season, 6′ 8 forward Greg Whittington.
Whittington’s addition bolsters the already impressive roster Kings coach Andrew Gaze has at his arsenal, which includes the likes of league MVP and current Boomer Kevin Lisch, Julian Khazzouh, Brad Newley, Aleks Maric and recently signed American Michael Bryson.
A Georgetown Hoya product who finished his collegiate career in 2013 after being derailed by a pair of knee injuries, Whittington’s has been more recently seen hitting up the NBA D-League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in his rookie season.
The 23-year old from Maryland burst onto the scene before a broken wrist mid-season once again put a spanner in the works, just as he was building quite an impressive resume.
After battling back from injury, Whittington averaged 13.8ppg, 8rpg and 2.7apg as the Skyforce went on to win the D-League Championship as the new King was named in the D-League’s All-Rookie Team.
In the current off-season, Whittington decided against participating in Summer League activities and instead went home to Maryland to work out with his local counterparts. Such players included NBA stars Victor Oladipo and Jerami Grant.
Whittington has his sights set on playing in the NBA, but for now he and his agent were set on looking towards international deals before heading back to the D-League for a chance to go back-to-back.
The now ever-resourceful Sydney Kings look to have picked up a high calibre player who is used to playing in a star studded team (Sioux Falls).
Described as more of a ‘Swiss Army Knife’ type player, Whittington has publicly stated that he had been working on his handles over this past off-season.
"ball handling. Definitely being able to handle the ball more fluently will make things easier and allow me to do more things on the court. Since most teams have me playing the 3/4, that can make a huge difference. My versatility is probably my biggest strength, so the more things I can do well — dribbling, shooting, rebounding, defense — the better."
Despite Kings management travelling to Las Vegas to find their next batch of stud imports, Whittington has most recently been in Sydney, working out in front of the team, as per Olgun Uluc of Fox Sports.

www.sirjasonclark.com/430692849Jason Clark has a blog. Fun read and can't help but be proud of him for all he's accomplished. Love this part: "My preparation doesn't stop there. Going to Georgetown and playing for John Thompson III probably could've been one of the best decisions in my life. I didn't know what I was really getting myself into when I made this decision. Honestly, I was thinking more about basketball than anything. But I quickly found out that this decision was a LIFE decision. I wish I could name all the people I’ve met in my time at Georgetown. Just to name a few President Obama, Former President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden and his hilarious secret service team (Thats a story i’ll have to tell later), Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, Clifton Powell (Pinky from Friday after Next), Allen Iverson, Dick Vitale, and so many more legendary people. I can't forget Fr. Kemp who was there for me through my toughest times at Georgetown. This man pushed me to speak when I was shy and to write whats on my mind and in my heart. He always told me that I have stories in my mind and in my heart that people need to hear. He inspired me to speak my mind. He would always put me on the spot in class in our open discussions and i never understood it at first, but eventually it brought me out of my shell and helped me open up. Every single one of these people had a story to tell with something for us to learn from in it. My favorite has to be Big John, John Thompson II. This man is legendary and has no problem with speaking his mind. You never know what may come out of his mouth, but I bet you every penny I have that you’ll listen. Some days before or after practice he would sit us down and talk us and share his legendary stories. Some funny and some real life . I can tell you he’d curse you out in a heartbeat, call you everything in the book but after he’d let you know why and let you know he loved you and was only doing it for your own good. Thats if he liked you! I’ve been thankful to meet so many people that have touched my life in a positive way, but I never would have met these people if i didn't sign that letter of intent to attend Georgetown University. I’m grateful for the people I met and the impact that they have had on my life. Their words have meant more than they know and their actions towards me have meant even more. Thank you Georgetown, thank you family, thank you Joe , thank you Louis, thank you adversity for helping prepare me for life."

And this part:
October 10, 2015. The day of my first bomb experience. Almost 100 deaths, 100s more injured. 15mins away from my apartment. Oh and right in front of the arena that we happened to be doing our weight training at. That day we didn't have training there. Was I shaken up a little bit? Hell yeah. What if we would of had training that day? Or what if i was just down in that area walking around? My life could of been over just like that.

Sims can absolutely play a bench role in the NBA. He performed fairly well, in a legit sample size. No idea why he is out of the league.
