basketball is such a great career choice right now compared to football because you can make good money doing what you love even if you don't make the NBA. so many job opportunities. With football options are really limited if you don't make the NFL. only choices are really low paying CFL, XFL and arena. And that does even factor in the wear and tear, injury rate, HGH/steroid reprecussions down the line and CTE problems of the NFL Average CFL salary ($USD): $75K Average XFL salary: $55K Average AFL salary, $45K assuming they don't go defunct. Average G League salary: $35k Average European salary: $65K-$100K

Also, I’ve been impressed by the clips I’ve seen of the Australian Basketball League. Based on my quick internet search it seems like the “import” players (max 3 per team) make around $60-100k. I see why some top recruits to play there for a year (nice country, no language barrier, good basketball but not so good that they need to fight to get off the bench (like in some Europe leagues).

There are probably 50 well paying pro basketball leagues. It’s a no brainer which sport is the smarter career decision. I hate to say it cause I love Football but Football is dying a slow death as a sport due to CTE, bad treatment of players, injuries and lack of diversity in coaching ranks, the HGH/Roids issue. In 20 years they will be playing two hand touch as they keep sissfying the rules and then no one will watch.

As opposed to Air Elephants or Sea Elephants? The name, Elephants, must be offensive to someone, somewhere.

Glad Jason is still playing ball. I always felt like he should have had a NBA shot.

Glad Jason is still playing ball. I always felt like he should have had a NBA shot. It may not be the NBA but it seems to me that Jason is probably living the life. Highly paid, expenses take care of and living in Europe during your young adulthood? Sign me up...

When memories of unfulfilled expectations or disappointments fade a bit, I'm left with the love I have for so many of the Hoyas we've been lucky enough to watch and to call fellow Hoyas. Continued good luck and success to J Clark and best wishes to Terrell for a great rookie season in Turkey. Hoya Saxa, gents.
