I'd say Dozier is more likely to declare for the draft than Peak would. Maybe running with LJ next season appeals to him.

Couldn't/Shouldn't UNC get a penalty on par with SMU at the very least? That would make no tourney for the '16 class their freshman year (and reduced schollies which probably wouldn't matter).

If they get hit soon the post season ban could be for this coming season. If it's the following year, South Carolina hardly makes the tournament anyway( so one year at UNC wouldn't be a huge deal).

They're not going to get hit this season, in time, for a ban from the 2016 NCAA tournament, unless they self-impose such penalty. There is a better chance that BC runs the table this season.

I don't think it's gonna be something that big except a few schollies. The people on UNC forums seem pretty certain like they have some idea. Alot of it from what I see is that Roy Williams had no direct involvement according to charges. He insulated himself like Calipari does. Also the fraud was committed by people not in the athletic department.

Also the fraud was committed by people not in the athletic department. The Syracuse "insiders" were also certain they would get a slap on the wrist - and Boeheim was not suspended for any direct involvement, but for the standby "lack of institutional control". The program - whether or not with Roy's explicit knowledge - continually steered players into the phony courses.

I see a difference between what Roy did and what Cal does. Everything Cal does is truly at an arms length of program and the school. Roy has no excuse for allowing his players to take bogus courses. It is his full responsibility to know what his players grades are and what they are taking. I still think tho they get nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

FrazierFanatic is right on target here. The "lack of institutional control" hook is what enables the NCAA to hold coaches fully accountable for whatever happens on their watch. It prevents coaches from using the "I didn't know what my (fill in the blank) was doing" defense. While it is quite likely that Roy Williams had no direct involvement here in any of the alleged violations, his failure to promote an atmosphere where these actions would not be tolerated is going to be enough for the NCAA to give him a similar penalty (i.e, suspension for 30% of the regular season schedule).

www.scout.com/college/north-carolina/story/1592296-woods-family-have-great-time-uncSenior Brice Johnson, a fellow South Carolina native, and sophomore Theo Pinson served as Woods’s player hosts.
“I was with the whole team most of the time,” Woods said. “I had a great time with the team and a lot of people up there I got to know. When I talked to Brice he said, ‘It’s been a great decision’ (to attend UNC) for him. He said they’ve gotten everything out of him that they possibly can and that’s all he could ask for.”
Before leaving, the Woods family met with an academic advisor. “She was a pretty nice lady,” said Woods. “My mom said she would feel comfortable sending me there to North Carolina, as far as the education.”

as opposed to Georgetown, where asking about the quality of the education isn't necessary.

If he's ready to make a decision now logic would tell me it's between GTown and UNC since he's coming off visits to both and an in-home from us. If he announces before his USC visit then I'd say it's us and Carolina
