Nothing monumental to report here....just that despite rain, visit is going very well. IMHO, we won't know the true outcome for a few months. Thanks for the update. I think many of us, no matter how unrealistic it was, were hoping for a verbal during or immediately after the visit. Regardless, it seems the staff is fairly well positioned with 3-4 top 100 guards.

Woods is the closest thing we've seen to Iverson since AI. Very good kid, very bright, definitely Georgetown material. Despite having some good options, seems to me that he's the top priority right now.

I know there may not be a clear answer - but if Woods will not be deciding for several months, yet may be top priority, which of our targets would we take commits from now, which ones would we try to hold off?

I don't think we hold off on any of the top 3. Woods starts from day 1 regardless. Only question is who starts alongside him.

Not playing it up at all. It's not part of the equation. Just hard not to notice some of the similarities.

If he is that similar to Iverson (and doesn't have the baggage), why does he keep falling in the rankings? Why wasn't he UNC's top priority? (Dennis Smith, the guy who just chose NC State over UNC, was apparently a bigger priority). I realize Smith is a stud but still....

(Dennis Smith, the guy who just chose NC State over UNC, was apparently a bigger priority). I realize Smith is a stud but still.... Smith was also a NC guy. He is from Raliegh. The reason I keep hearing that he is falling is because he isn't a natural PG & he is figuring it out now. He is trying to be a point guard rather than a volume scorer which is what blew him up so people aren't seeing the explosive scoring. But also Dennis Smith is just a better player than him. Dennis Smith is a D Wade clone, who would start in the NBA right now...well not right now because of the injury but he is that good.

With the freshman in NY for BIG EAST Educational Seminar yesterday, does anyone know if they were able to hang out with Woods at all during his visit?

I don't think we can draw any conclusions from a three word response to that query, and I don't think we knew he was also planning to visit Clemson. As far as I know that's a new addition. At this point, the staff has done all they can. We can keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Must be a mistake. He's always had UNC on his list.

Starting to feel like it's going to come down to Georgetown and SC again.

So, does he want to spend another few years in Columbia, or come to DC? There is nothing wrong with Columbia, but at the same time, there is no comparison. If he wants to play in front of family and friends, he will be a Gamecock. If he wants to expand his horizons, he will be a Hoya.
