He's a more athletic Nate with a jumper. Plus he's close in DE. Is he an african kid? You have to love his size/athleticism and he's not finished developing yet. Monster potential in this kid! He's a top soccer player also which means he's light on his feet and well conditioned. I hope the staff gets him on campus for the selection day party, stay on him. Copeland, Bentil & Booth is my new mantra!! ID, he does have an accent similar to Moses but not as thick so I think he is African.. Not that it matters ..LOL

EtomicB - I agree that Copeland, Bentil & Booth are JT3 type of kids. I wonder if we need a little mix of the types of players that his Father used to recruit - mobile, agile and HOSTILE. Providing emphasis on hostile is something we may need. An all suburban squad may be soft, may not get loose balls, may not bang and bow which one needs on occasion. I want to school with Michael Graham -- a great person BTW -- so I will expose some of my bias.

I mean, hard to argue that it's always important to have a Jabril Trawick or two. ;D That being said, I wouldn't assume that being from the suburbs means they aren't tough.

Hoya I think Jabril is that kind of kid. Maybe there is someone else who fits that bill. What I like about Bentil is he is chiseled but has skills. Has great form on his jumper, and from the highlights loves to dunk in traffic. Bentil doesn't look "soft" just seems like an intelligent kid who plays hard.

I realize you were just trying to put down Nate's athleticism, but more starting PFs in college don't pass as well, play defense as well, or play as smart as Nate. Most don't shoot 60% from the field. And in many cases, they really aren't more athletic. The guy isn't a subpar high major player.

Solid points. I wasn't trying to harsh on Nate as much as make a funny remark. And I certainly wasn't saying he is a subpar high major player. Nate is a talented passer for his size with good court vision.
But actually, I've come to believe that Nate's basketball IQ and "coach's son" reputation are a little overrated. You hear that from the announcers EVERY game. But in every game, I see dumb fouls and questionable turnovers, usually in the form of forced passes into traffic. I don't see his basketbal IQ any higher than any other player getting minutes on the team.
He does a lot of nice things, is scrappy, a glue guy. Like him - solid contributor. Good energy. Brings some muscle to the tussle.
That FG% stat is a little skewed. Basically layups and dunks only (and the occasional lefty hooker in the lane). I give him credit for not taking bad shots if he can't make them, but he is petrified of trying a jumper outside of 3 feet now. That element of his game is certainly subpar and needs work this summer.

Skewed in which way? Players that shoot those type of percentages usually take smart shots close to the basket. With the exception of a few players like Oladipo and TJ Warren there aren't many players in the country that shoot north of 55% mixing it up equally on the inside and the outside. Were Roy's percentages also "skewed"??

Bentil has suggested that his decision is a long way off. That he's not really focused on recruiting. If you want Bentil it's going to be a while.

“Villanova, St. Joe’s, Georgetown, those three and probably Temple, had their head coaches there the most,” Myers added His coach said Bentil wants to play throughout the summer before he makes any decision. He also said he played a lot on the perimeter and his shot has really improved. Shot 55% from 3.

Go after him....but don't wait too long on a big man who needs extensive time to determine if he wants to go to Villanova or Georgetown. Villanova does nothing for big men. In fact Villanova does very little for its guards too considering some like to call it Guard U.
