The students were great today, both in numbers and enthusiasm. Hopefully this will encourage them to keep coming out for our less high profile opponents. The entire crowd was strong today - not too many louisville fans, and good energy throughout the game.

A few years ago we filled the Booth at least several times a year for the biggies on sat. I don't know where the fans have gone. To TV? There are more and more big time games available to see. Is this the reason? Tickets too much? I wanted to buy a few extra tickets for the lower bowl for LOUISVILLE and Syracuse, and our ticket office wanted $99 apiece for end of the bowl high row seats.

I wouldn't scoff at >17k in attendance, especially with the premium surcharge in effect. Regrettably, if L'ville had still been #1 like they were last weekend, I think we would have found more last-minute takers for the other 3,000 seats amongst the casual basketball fans in the area. Big-screen high-def TVs at home where beers are affordable and you don't have to deal with traffic, a defective public transit system, or parking have got to be eating into demand. Plus you could toggle over to the cuse-Nova contest at commercial breaks and exult in that game to boot. It's not necessarily the face-value price of tickets alone that are the problem.
