It's not a rule, but some teams build it into their LOIs....doubt the new BE has any such restrictions. The general NCAA rule is that you have to sit out two years instead of one when transferring to a conference school (given your current conference school grants you a release, which they basically have to do with any school anyway). I also don't think that's accurate. At one time it was, but it no longer is accurate. Even if you don't get a release, you can still transfer and only sit out a year, you just can't receive scholarship money for the year you sit out.

I don't believe he can. He must transfer out of conference. Strange that he is even leaving Provy.

Too bad we can't pick him up. I preferred him to Elbert coming out of HS...and it would have been nice to have a potential rim protector.

Why in the world would you visit Iona after Virginia, Michigan State, and Kansas? C'mon Paschal.

How old is Quadree by now? He couldn't even get on the floor for Paul VI so he transferred to Potomac, and then, after claiming high major offers, ended up committing to UNC Greensboro, then decommitted and went PG.

Also, a big LOL from the article:
"At Paul IV — where he spent sophomore year to mid-January of his senior year — he practiced everyday against Georgetown commit Marcus Derrickson. The two actually have very similar body types."

First of all, yuck. Lost respect for this guy. Leaving Cooley for that cesspool? Bad judgment. Second, how is Cuse doing this? Arent they already like 3 scholarships over their reduced allotment from the sanctions?

SU is appealing the scholarship reduction. . .maybe they think they're going to be successful.
Alternatively, or after the appeal fails, they'll simply run another scholarship player off of their roster to make room for Chukwu. What else would be expected from such a classy program?
