Nova and Uconn could be unbelievable next year if they keep their players. That is if they can survive us ;D

Gay in NOT a beast...i am sorry dude - were you watching this game - How can you say that off of one game? Have you've been watching UConn the last few weeks? He has been stellar for them and he was the best player forUConn in their first game on friday. Give him a break. Even most of the good freshmen have bad games. Gay has the height, the athleticism, the quickness, the handle and the shooting ability. Definite pro material. I wouldn't trade Jeff Green for him but he has my respect.

When did Charlie V ever show an outside game? He can't take people off the dribble like Thomas can nor can he create his own shot. Charlie V has limited skills. He is nothing like Tim Thomas. If he was anything like Tim, he would have left early after his freshman year like Tim did. You are crazy to say Charlie V has an inside and outside game. What games and which Charlie V are you talking about? You must be talking about a different Charlie V. I'm talking about Charlie Villanueva. I'll take Charlie V. First of all UConn has a much better track record of developing players than any coach at Nova. Second of all V has been UConn's most consistent and best player this year. At the next level he should be able to take any NBA 4 off the dribble and this season he has proved his toughnes by playing more in the paint getting rebounds and finishing. I don't think he'll ever be an All Star but I think he will add more value to a team than Thomas ever has...though TT has finally started to show some big time production the past month.

I agree, Shimmy -- i've said it before and I'll say it again -- he's got the potential to be a "beast" somewhere down the road, but doing it every other game makes one a "talented freshman" not a "beast". If Gay's a beast, I suppose that guy Gansy is a superstar.

gay is a very good player who came out during the end of the year.. and im jeffs promo guy since the summer league .. he had a bad game ...and was a frosh who got eaten up by one of the best 6'4' guys in the counrty in julius hodge... a senior who took the frosh to school.. and for charlie... hes real good ...somewhat inconsistant ...and he had an awful defensive game.. anyway we should be sad when the big east plays bad ..its embarassing... and costs us money.. like i said before with these losses.. my sons tuition will probalbly go up 2000 maybe three thousand dollars next year.. go hoyas... beat the titans.. go west va and nova beat them alll ;D ;D ;D

as an avid knicks fan from New York I must admit Charlie does not nearly have the offensive talent that Tim Thomas has, nor will he ever for that matter. If Tim is hot he can go 7/7 from NBA 3 point range and lately he has just been dominating his last 10 games averaging about 20 a game. On the defensive end on the other hand i think i would give the upper hand to charlie v to be a bit better with his ability to block shots.

maybe you didn't watch the game today Gtown4Life but charlie was anything but stellar on the defensive end. I think near the end of the game calhoun wasn't even playing him on d.(i forget whther that was because of foul trouble or bad d)

Both of those guys have talent but Gay can be a Reggie Williams type player in college if he stays another 2 years. Charlie is a puzzle because he'll make an incredible dunk and then miss a defensive assignment and throw a pass out of bounds. It sucks for us because they'll probably both stay next year. Gay will be great and Charlie will amount to bench fodder in the NBA.

Reggie Williams stepped as a freshman in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game. Rudy Gay had 4 POINTS in a 2nd round NCAA game. Reggie had the purest and sweetest jump shots in college history. Rudy dunks a lot. There is no comparison. Please don't insult Reggie Williams and his Hoya legacy to a player, a UCONN player at that, who is overhyped.
