Man. I really wanted 3 years out of Otto. Your probably right but, let everything play out. I see three scenarios NBA Transfer Medical Hardship 6'5"+ wings. Long roster construction continues 2013-14 . Love it Domingo Whittington Trawick Bowen Cameron .... Porter

You know what will be fun (assuming Cameron is as good a shooter as his coach says)? All the dunks (ok, layups ) coming off of back door cuts when DSR, Domingo and Cameron shoot them out of their zones

Welcome Reggie. Having a bunch of tall guys who can light it up from 3 is a great way to win in today's college basketball environment. I like what JT3 is doing. We are going to have a size advantage all over the place going forward.
Cameron looks to have some work to do on his conditioning - he is probably a small forward and he can look a little slow out there. The skill level though is high and the staff will get him ready to play.
Hoya saxa!

Apparently visiting next Wednesday. Border 4/3 star player. Dead eye shooter with limited athleticism. System player. Last guy who could stroke it and had limited athleticism is now going to be playing for OKC. Nice to have another Reggie. Welcome to the hilltop.

Ehhh. Meh.
We're going to have a size advantage, yes. But where is our talent advantage at the guard sports?

Kid is abolsutely money when he gets his feet set. He's also automatic from the line. Between he and DSR, we will be great late in the game from the line.

I like the long, sharp-shooting perimeter shooters, but who will clean up the rebounds those few times ( ) they miss?

Eye on College BBall @eyeoncbb Georgetown picked up Reggie Cameron earlier today, arguably the best shooting forward in the class of 2013

Like the pick up, but I think another situation needs to be addressed. Where does this leave us with the other '13 prime targets: Kennedy Meeks, Jonothan Williams, and Roddy Peters.

No one knows jsk. I would think it makes Jonathan Williams less likely. But I bet we continue recruiting Peters and Meeks aggressively.

Yes I agree. But I do think we will still pursue williams. I would expect us to still go very hard after both peters and meeks. Those two are the most needed positions for this team. I do like this fit though

Domingo and Cameron...the two best shooters at their position, and arguably both top 5 overall, in that class. Not too shabby. He should be able to help slightly on the boards as well, those seem to be his two best attributes. As far as further recruiting goes, my with list is JWIII, then Peters, then Meeks. I think we still have a decent shot at them seeing as we will most likely have two open spots next year, and one if we get Otto to stay.

Wouldn't expect Peters to be a Hoya, at all.
I think remaining targets would be 1.) Kennedy Meeks, 2.) Johnathan Williams III, and 3.) Detrick Mostella.

Yeah, interesting to understand what remaining 2013 targets we have, if any. With Cameron, we are already banking on 1 player scheduled to receive a scholarship next year not receiving a scholarship next year.
Interesting development. I would have thought we'd go big with Meeks.
Maybe Moses and Bradley and Mikael are really impressing the staff...

Why would we recruit two players in the same class that play the same position and do the same thing when we have needs elsewhere? It'd make more sense if Cameron could play some 4, but that doesn't sound like it's happening.

Don't know anything about this kid. For those who do, is he quick at all? Who can he be compared to in athleticism? My only concern is that the Hoyas need long outside shooters for the offense but they also need enough speed and quickness for defense. Not certain how this commitment plays into that scenario.

Knockdown shooter with size who has a quick release. Can shoot falling away, falling to his left, off the dribble and coming hard off a screen. Has a very nice mid-range game as well. He has an average handle, is a better than average passer, and is a decent rebounder.
He has a bit of a slow motion quality to his game. He doesn't have much lift and he isn't going to swat a lot of shots. This all being said, kid will be starting by his junior year and possibly as soon as his 2nd year depending on whether whitt is still around.
In the end, between Domingo, DSR and Cameron....we are going to be lethal from behind the arc.

I'd want: 1. Mostella 2. Meeks 3. Austin.
Mostella is a spring decision so things will shake out by then with him or us. Seems like Austin could be headed that way, too.
