My vote goes to Chris. His drive and kick game is very advanced and he can actually rack up assists vs professional competition.

Agree with Rock that it’s CW, plus he has the numbers to back it up… Think Chris avg 5+ assists a game his Senior year

Solid at passing? Really? That never seemed his strength because he was never much of a creator.

As of right now it would have to be Kel and that isn't saying much because Kel is definitely shoot first. The better passers have bigs in 3s era............ I don't disagree with the Markel pick but I wouldn't call him a shoot first guy. I think, with the guys he had around him, he had to be shoot first. He'd have had an even better career if he had had some more guys to pass to that weren't guards. I agree with this. Besides Starks was looking t pass the ball up first rather than score for his first three seasons. He took on the scoring load when it was needed which wasn't a problem for me because he was effecting at putting up points. Truth is I don't think there has been one guard under III who has really impressed me as a passer. Part of that is because III's system has often placed the passing responsibility in the hands of forwards and bigs. But I thank Starks was the craftiest of all of III's passers.

Agree that Starks was the best And that's not saying a whole lot. Thought Chris got a lot better by his senior year. Was pretty bad at it early on. JW was below average to me as a passer. He was good generally at not forcing things but don't you remember how we could not get the ball into our bigs under his watch?

Back on track, would love to pick up Crawford. I think his stock has dropped since his injury but would be our gain if he chose us. Gotta keep the DMV pipeline going

'Ville is not in his final list. From what I understand, they cooled off on him substantially.

We may well wind up with Crawford as Louisville went for Donovan Mitchell and Indiana seems less compelling recently.
I am concerned that the other top guards will wind up at the high level programs (Dozier, Bacon, Cheatham), but we should be OK with Crawford, a senior DSR, Campbell and Peak. Perhaps a late bloomer in the spring can round out the perimeter class.

I didn't see this posted here.. Kinda interesting or it could be that I'm desperate for positive vibes.. I didn't know Govan & Crawford were tight Crawford would be a nice player to compliment Derrickson & Govan as well as the 2014 class.. Many folks on the board want to see JT3 press more but I'd be happier if he just taught the team to be better in transition, Crawford's vision will help with that imho.. www.bigeastcoastbias.com/2014/7/25/5928507/georgetown-recruiting-are-hoyas-still-targeting-bryant-crawford-2015It was reported that Louisville, who has offered him, likes Mitchell as well. That is a good thing for Georgetown because they might be able to get Bryant Crawford, who many think is a lock at Louisville. Georgetown and Crawford have a good relationship, and Crawford also has relationships with 2015 Hoyas commits Marcus Derrickson and Jessie Govan. Marcus and Crawford both play for the Team Takeover EYBL team, and both play in one of the best conferences in the country, the WCAC. Derrickson attends Paul VI and Crawford attends Gonzaga College High School.
Govan and Crawford have a good relationship, and every time I talk to Crawford, he always talks about Govan and how often they talk. The Hoyas are really high on him and have been for a while. With Louisville backing off, this gives the Hoyas a legitimate shot at getting a point guard. Georgetown fans are worried about what players who play the guard position will commit, but this should give them some excitement to know that they may have a shot at a hometown product.

Glad to hear Govan and Crawford are good friends. Crawford would be a really nice addition to a class that could be great.

Staff is on it and is making Crawford a priority. By no means is this a lock but they are working hard.

I agree. Transition should be a main teaching point this year as they have the players to do it. In fact some years I've thought that transition fundamentals and encouragement would've won some of the teams more games...
