TerrapinStationMD @terpstationmd 14h Heard from a bird that Louisville is backing off 2015 G Bryant Crawford, big #Terps target Odd if true. They seemed to come on very hard.

I'll never figure out this recruiting thing. Louisville is focused on landing Donovan Mitchell and guys like Crawford and Tyler Dorsey know this. My guess is that if Crawford were to end up a Hoya, it wouldn't happen for a bit. Similar to how DSR came to us....after a while both school and student-athlete just recognized it was a good match.

Being that I live in Los Angeles, I've never seen him play. I did like his stat line from Peach Jam fwiw.

This is the first time I heard about him but there have been 2 predictions already this morning to memphis. I don't know where he ranks in priorities since our top 3 are Lawson, Skal, and Elijah Thomas.

More strangeness...
There are 2 more GU predictions on 24/7, as everybody seems to be backing away from Louisville AND Memphis.
Also - the article HoyaFan23 linked to above (that didn't have GU as one of Crawford's 4 schools) is no longer on the site.

Especially considering it was a Bolt from Jerry Meyer who flipped his pick to Gtown yesterday… Darnit.. Then I remembered 247 Crystal ball isn’t worth chit… Think Ville backing off made his situation really murky to say the least...

There are others we are recruiting that are ahead of him. So how would you rank the guard recruits in terms of priority to the staff at this point? Just looking at the guards we are on from the prospects thread: Guards/Wings Allonzo Trier - 6'4'' SG - #8 Tyler Dorsey - 6'4'' PG - #10 Dwayne Bacon - 6'6'' SG - #13 PJ Dozier - 6'5'' PG - #21 Haanif Cheatham - 6'5'' SG - #53 Bryant Crawford - 6'3'' PG - #102 Kenny Williams - 6'2'' SG - #102 I'd say that you can get a good feel of who the staff would really want. Trier has cooled on us tremendously, so SG is up in the air to which better player/fit wants to join first. For PG we are on two of the top in the class, Crawford is not as bright of a prospect but still a great player and option if he landed here.

hoopniks.com/2015-post-summer-player-rankings-countdown-97-bryant-crawford/Breakdown: It’s fair to say high school hoopsl has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Crawford, who at times has been ranked among the elite point guards in his class, and at other times has struggled find consistency and dealt with injuries. Crawford has been well-schooled in basketball, playing in one of the nation’s elite high school programs, traveling team squads, and competing several times for a spot on USA Basketball’s youth national teams over the last several years. At his best, Crawford uses his ideal size at the point guard position to set up teammates, and occasionally shows a burst to the hoop for an athletic finish. He’s fairly well-rounded, and can play in both guard slots depending on the situation and setting.

With Donovan Mitchell to Louisville... does this mean Villanova comes back hard after Crawford?
