considering Kentucky has such a glut of bigs between guys coming back and guys coming in, I think there will still be excess bigs in '15....
If everything else is the same, gotta think it's between Memphis and Gtown at this point.....

I think this kid's game would fit in well here. But I want this kid for no other reason than to beat out Kentucky and Memphis for a big-time recruit.

Yeah, you would hope Skal would see that he gets immediate PT at Memphis and Gtown, but probably not at Kentucky. It also makes me wonder how Dakari Johnson feels....Cauley Stein coming back and Towns coming in, both are probably going to play over him. Should have come to Gtown Dakari; you'd have been playing 25 mins a game from the start! As for Skal, I'm still not confident....he does have a handler, and that never seems to work out well for us...

24/7 does those "Crystal Ball" expert predictions for top 100 types. After a lot of initial Kentucky predictions, everybody seems to be guessing Memphis for Skal -- 4 of them over the last two days. 247sports.com/PlayerInstitution/Skal-Labissiere-at-Evangelical-Christian-School-32868/CurrentExpertPredictionsI realize these guys are hardly "experts" and the guessing game is far from foolproof (see LJ Peak's 100% SC predictions), but there must have been something that happened this week to make these guys jump on it. I didn't see another visit or anything. Anybody have any ideas?

Probably just that he's a local Memphis kid, Memphis has some good classes coming in but no Center yet, and Paster wins a lot of recruiting battles....

All the Kentucky bigs came back, increasing the liklihood that a couple of them will still be around next season. Right now you have WCS, Dakari, Poythress, Lee, Willis, Lyles and Towns. Not alot of minutes to go around so a couple will get lost in the mix.

All I can say on that idea is, down in front, enjoy the seats.

Is skal still a priority and would he take rabbs scholarship if he wanted to commit first?
I realize from this thread it seems unlikely he'd come here but in theory we are in his top 3 right?

With Govan and Dickerson in the fold, and with the Hoyas apparently in it until the end with Rabb, I would think we wait as long as it takes for Ivan.

There's an interesting question--let's say we're in serious contention with Rabb (i.e. our hat's going to be on the table)--would we take a commitment from Skal or Chance Comanche, presumably ending our recruitment of Rabb? I assume we're going to stay on both at this point.

Why on earth would this kid still be looking at Gtown? There are plenty of choices out there that have not just gotten commitments from 2 centers in their class. He will end up somewhere that he can be assured of playing time.

He probably feels like he can compete with anyone for playing time, and I think he's right.

if skal wants commit, u take him. he is a consensus top 10 player, most likely two and done. he would be the most talented player since greg monroe. sure, rabb is a better player than him, but that's still a long shot, which people seem to forget due to the recent optimism on this board and skal is starting day 1 if he comes here.
