I don't know. This certainly looks beautiful, but Georgetown's planned IAC is larger than this one at Notre Dame. Is there any reason to beleive GU's IAC will be "spartan but functional"? Recent construction at GU (including the SWQ and the Davis and Hariri Centers) have exceeded my expectations in terms of quality.

Recent construction at GU (including the SWQ and the Davis and Hariri Centers) have exceeded my expectations in terms of quality. The IAC is larger than the Notre Dame equivalent I linked to but that's largely because the Domers have multiple other support facilities, where Georgetown has to fit the entire AD in the IAC and the renovated McDonough. (EDIT to add: Georgetown also, of course, fields several more sports teams that Notre Dame does.) I should clarify that when I say "spartan but functional," I mean that not in any objective sense of the words, but compared to the over-the-top ostentatious sports palaces being built at the high octane programs. I rather doubt you'll be finding player lounges with 100 inch flatscreens and the like at Georgetown. I'm ok with that, but we have to recognize the position that puts us in, relative to the competition.
