Who was the dbag columnist who claimed Georgetown was lying about Chris Wright coming back based on the fact that Boeheim is a lying sneak? Did he ever apologize? And now this timing? Gregg Doyel

Seth Davis: "I have to say I feel very badly for the [Melo]. Really worked hard to improve, self-esteem has come a long way. I'm sure he's crushed." twitter.com/#!/SethDavisHoops/status/179697802148978688 Incredible. Is there any sense of being held responsible for your own actions anymore? Being resonsible for those who are in your charge? My indignance with sports media is at an all-time high. Hahahaha. Wow. In a span of hours, Syracuse went from a 1 seed favored to at least make the Elite 8 to a team where improving one's self esteem is considered a noteworthy accomplishment.

So they get the #1 seed on Sunday and then 36 hours later they find out Fab Smello is ineligible.
Hmm.

Bite your tongue. "Frozen Tundra" isn't a reference to upstate NY.

In Doyle's defense he did apologize about the Wright article. It at least admitted he was wrong I believe

i have so many feelings right now. part of me is happy because this most likely means cuse is losing in the dance and maybe even early. on the other hand i was just reading the cuse board and for some of them i actually feel bad. sure a lot are curisng melo, the managers, the ncaa, the admin, a "jerk professor who hates basketball and wouldn't over look cheating" (speculaton over there I have no idea if its true). but there are a few who are simply heartbroken. I actually feel for those few ... but then i get all giddy because they are cuse fans and i enjoy them in pain.
honestly though - its the programs fault, and the kids fault. He isn't a freshman he is practically a junior - so the program had enough time to figure this out and work with him or tell him it wasn't going to work. no one to blame but the program (yes i do hope it leads to jb being let go ... not retire or leave - fired). but the random fan just had their heart ripped out of them and given the last few years for us.... i feel for them. diabetes, broken hand/wrist, 2 years of greg monroe and not a single ncaa tourney win...maybe the basketball gods will finally again smile on us.

Joey, have you been drinking heavily and what does a Cuse alum have over you to say such things? Screw em. Save the empathy for those that are deserving. It's karma if you're spiritual or just a law of thermodynamics if you're not. I hope they all cry over vacated wins and a first round ouster.

The difference is that our unfortunate incidents are unlucky things that were out of the programs control for the most part. What's happening at Cuse (Drugs, Bernie Fine child molestation, Bernie Fine's wife, Melo's grades, etc, etc) are things that the program allowed. And it's hard to believe that the program/head coach didn't know what was going on unless his head was in the sand like an Ostrich.

I haven't listened to the sports talk radio for months around here. Couldn't help but tune in yesterday. Of course the first half of the show was all we hate the NCAA and their rules.. then once it was determined that SU determined the ineligibility it was we don't need him, blah blah blah. There's now 2 Melo's that NY is ready to get rid of quick

This has been a bad week thus far but when I logged on and saw this thread last night I couldn't help but smile. Hopefully it is the first of a couple of good things to happen to a Georgetown fan this week.

When asked his name at today's press conference, Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim said, "I didn't know anything."
When asked about failed drug tests, he stated "I didn't know anything."
Does this guy even know Melo isnt playing?

Does this guy even know Melo isnt playing? I'm pretty sure 100% of his effort goes into getting his team of scumbags to run a disciplined 2-3 zone. It must be like herding cats—leaves no time for monitoring things like players' drug problems or sexual encounters with assistant coaches' wives.

So that's it? Nobody in the national media wants to take on Dirty Magoo and the ridiculous string of bad acts on his watch? Is there even a single article calling for a second look at Boeheim's legacy?
