The one thing Lubick deserves to be called out on--what did he do this offseason? Tan out in New England? deleted I mean--what aspect of him/his game is better then a year ago? He can't shoot. He looks as stiff as last year--seriously do some friggin Yoga and get some flexibility--if it's good enough for NFL/NBA players--it's good enough for Lubick.
Starks showed a few things to begin 2nd Half but made some silly plays too--that drive into nowhere with Hoyas down 6 was a killer and ends up with Trawick getting into it with Gibbs-(in a moment I wish it was still 1980's because Trawick would've busted Gibbs head open and a brawl would've followed).
Just a suck ass game and annoying due to my hatred of Pitt and Jamie Dixon's ACT.

I am just tired of the slow offensive starts and lackadaisical defense. 20 and 22 points at halftime the past two games. Terrible. Just terrible. No Starks?

So Hollis goes about 38 minutes between baskets. Maybe he's not 100%, but we've got to get more production from him

Oh well - nothing really good to take away from this one. Need to shake it off and find a way to get better. Still can accomplish some nice things this season.

Had they not gotten into a 17 point hole in the first 12 minutes this game would have been much different. The last few Georgetown teams had the offensive fire power to come out slow and make up major deficits, this one does not. This was the easiest of a really tough 4 game stretch, very discouraging that we lost it.

Here are my thoughts about the game
1) I don't know the reason( lack of confidence, youth, or what) but every time we drew close we made a mistake. Either we'd get a stop then rush on offense or we'd get a good basket then we'd have a defensive lapse.
2) I have to say that Dixon did a great job coaching in this game. We were so focused on Gibbs and Woodall and the panthers used that against us to get easy looks for Robinson and Patterson. With back screens. They did a very good job. you have to give them credit. We all knew pitt was a good team
3) We needed to attack more off the bounce.
4) Ugh just missed a lot of chippies in the first half. If we don't miss those early on we don't have to climb out of such a big whole.
5) It's really frustrating, because if we had come out hot and hit them in the mouth more than likely we win this game. Instead the opposite happened.
6) Again not sure why (Week off, the new shoes) but we just started so poorly, very frustrating.
7) Hollis was very quiet until the last minute at first i thought it was the fact that he's not fully over the groin injury but then he scored like 7 points in the last minutes.
8) Horrible Horrible day off basketball. Almost every game went against us today with Marquette coming back and Cuse escaping and Kansas going down.
9) I HATE LOSING TO PITT! They're the team I hate 2nd most to Cuse. And I think our players would agree. Our players hate them, Our coaches hate them, and I hate them! Interesting that the BE is losing arguably 3 of the most hated teams in the BE.

That was a real bad peformance. Will be more ups and downs with this group. Just hope they can figure out the offensive woes.
My biggest complaint? So that was the gameplan the coaching staff came up with with about a week to plan? Weak.

Henry too. He had a great second half, but was MIA in the first

Get healthy, Hollis. We need you. I think he's healthy....just playing poorly and jt3 wants him to think about it. 3 just needs to let the kids play now.

Big East road wins are tough to come by. We are 6-3 at the half way point, with a team full of freshman on whom we depend heavily. I, too, wish we would have won, but I'll take where we are and trust in improved play down the stretch. Harry Saxa.

This is the growing pain every year. Mid way thru the season teams figure out pretty clearly that we rely on those high screens to get our 3 point shooters open. They come out high against us and we compensate by just passing and passing around the perimeter. Hollis is the most guilty party. You take him out of that game, and he really struggles. Which is why you guys might be right that he isnt hurt, just not in the offensive flow.

Cutting to do the basket at less than full speed is an utter waste of time in the Princeton offense. And that's what this team did for almost the entire the first half. The player with the ball makes no effort to beat his man off the dribble and those without the ball jog around the court. It wasn't Pitt's defense, it was putrid offensive sets. Again.

Without a good bounce back against You Con we are approaching 10-8. I believe we can do it.

I don't think we can afford to keep starting both Markel and Nate. One of them needs to sit in place of Otto.

Completely Disappointing. We had a week to prepare and that is how we play the first half?Where was Henry in the first half, where was Hollis for the first 38 minutes? That was terrible. I thought Hollis was at least hurt until in the final minute he made a bunch of shots. He is our best pure offensive weapon and he is invisible during the time that matters in the last 2 games. JT3 has to get his confidence up and run some plays specific to him. At least Henry recovered nicely in the 2nd half, but still where is he in the first half. You must come to play, esepcially on the road. They punched us in the mouth and we never recovered.
I need to have perspective and understand its a very young team, games like this will happen, but that was ugly. I think this team needs a game like Wednesday night - feature ESPN game, Vitale in the house, the lights are bright and usually, usually our guys come to play under those conditions. I am hoping for an amends against UConn.
