What an strange comment. Were you serious? In case you missed it, Georgetown University is a very diverse place. It ranks in the top 10 in many polls for African American graduates; outside of the HBCU's, it is in the top two, along with Stanford. No school in America except Howard graduates more alumni who become attorneys. And because of the overall admissions competition, there are many more applicants than acceptances. Last fall, ABC News profiled three students applying to GU--one of whom was a basketball player from Banneker who scored a 1330 on his SAT and was president of his school's math club--and he was denied early admission. (He was later accepted by, and took the offer at Duke.) As to your comment about who is or isn't in the stands, you owe yourself a visit to MCI Center someday. Good seats always available... When I was searching for colleges to attend in the late 80s, I ran across many college guides that had G'Town's minority population at or below 1%...Despite being located in a city where the Black population was close to 70%... Come on, man... Things may have changed in the past 15 years, but I know that was a complete turn-off when I was looking for schools to apply to...

Might be off on exact numbers, but right now G'town's student population is about 20% minority students, including 8-9% black.
