Back-handed compliment in a piece about Wall and Cousins on grantland.com: If properly motivated, he could be one of the best power forwards in the league, make multiple All-Star games, and own Sacramento. (For chrissake, Greg Monroe, drafted two spots behind Cousins, has half the ability and has turned himself into one of the NBA's best young big men.) www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7722656/john-wall-demarcus-cousinsMaybe he can justify that statement by distinguishing between a skill and ability, but Monroe is pretty damn good.

I think Monroe is one of the main reasons the Hoyas are still in the hunt for Noel and Pollard. He is the perfect poster child for McDonald All American big men who (1) are planning on staying only 1-2 years in college, (2) want to improve their all-around game(passing, defense and ability to score from different places on the court), (3) want to satisfy their moms that education will not be forgotten and (4) want to attend a school that NBA teams respect for their ability to produce quality big men.

He’s not concerned with accolades, public praise or statistics, which is why you probably haven’t heard about how he returns to Georgetown each summer to work toward his college degree, and why you definitely won’t hear him complain after inevitably being left off the Eastern Conference All-Star team. In his own words, “I’m out here to play, I’m out here to help my team win games, that’s my job.”
I was actually just wondering the other day whether he's still going back. It says a lot about Georgetown that our three most notable players in the last 5 years will all end up with degrees. Not many teams can say that their NBA talent--including those who leave early--end up diplomas.

Monroe has gotten more out of his ability than many, but he's not exactly sliding by based on "heart." This is a 6'11'' kid with long arms, extremely broad shoulders, and the ability to dribble and pass like a small forward. He's a specimen, but people ignore it because one of the few talents he lacks is a crazy vertical and that's what gets you on Sportscenter.

Greg had a big put back with less than 30 seconds left against the Wiz to give the Pacers the lead by one. I went nuts I sure do miss that guy. Just think that if Greg didn't leave early he would have just finished his career here. If he stayed for even his junior year we would have been nasty! I'm not saying he should've stayed or anything though

Roy threw one down on LeBron tonight: ;D Lots of good stuff here. The best part about this was that LeBron was so shaken that he immediately threw the ensuing inbounds pass right to another Pacer player, who got a layup. And I totally agree with Frazier and Lizzie, Roy needs to tweet Nerlens.

Roy had an odd line last night: 13 pts, 3 assists, 4 blocks, and 0 rebounds.

Nevada, the pacers didn't really need Roy last night. That game was out of contention mid-3rd quarter and with the pacers upcoming schedule it made sense for him to play fewer minutes. Indy also shot 59% in the first half so not a lot of rb opps. GO PACERS!!!

Roy having a huge game versus OKC tonight. 16 pts and 5 blks in the 1st half, he has been doing a great job in protecting the basket and a good reffing not calling fouls on him when westbrook has come barreling thru.

For all of the strides Greg has made this season, he's still got a long way to go on the defensive end. It's been painful watching him on the defensive end tonight versus the Hawks, but he's consistently bad on that end of the floor all season.

Don't look now, but Roy's Pacers are the hottest team in the NBA and looking to lock up the 3rd seed in the East. The Pacers are as likeable a team as you will find in the NBA...would love to see them make some noise in the playoffs. Go Roy!
