I would love for Jeff to get traded to Detroit. Ideally it would be for Josh Smith but we would probably have to give up Greg.

Please not New York. Please please please please. Selfishly, I'd love to see him in NY so I could actually watch a whole Knick game without having it just be the Melo show. Unselfishly, Jackson or not, the Knicks aren't good and I'd prefer Jeff go to a better team. I don't know if I could stomach Jeff having to stand around and just watch Carmelo chuck it up all season.

From the bullets forever fan forum. "Otto Porter. He is a really smart basketball player. Both his one-on-one and team defense are impressive and he uses his length well. Offensively, he moves extremely well without the ball and his instincts are starting to take over, allowing him to play freely and make the right plays without second-guessing himself."
Someone else posted a comment the other day that Otto always seems to be in the right spot.

Jeff with 18 (7-15) with 2 rebs and 3 assists in 31 minutes in a 111-91 win over the Sixers (Henry with 8 and 10 rebs; Hollis with 5 and 4 rebs). In reading articles about Green in the Boston press, you have to take into consideration that virtually none of the writers like him primarily because they think he is overpaid. As a whole, they would be delighted to see him moved out of town to validate their incessant bleating. I'm not sure those who will make the decision share their point of view. Some things never change. Boston basketball writers continue to be ignoramuses. OTOH, though, in this case I agree with their goal. Get Jeff the hell out of Boston.

Don't include Jackie MacMullen in that category.

FT shooting could have been better tonight. Otto 4-8. Hollis 1-2, Henry 3-6, although he is 79% in the preseason.

Otto with 12 in the 1st against Melo That is stunning, to score like that against a premier defensive stalwart.

Not really. He is clearly established now as a major rotation player, especially after his performance in summer league and preseason. With three players suspended for the opener, Beall on the DL and Rice and Humphries possibly out...they need Otto healthy and available for more than 30 minutes against Miami. Why take a chance on him getting hurt in the final quarter of a preseason game?

www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nba/0/basketball-headlines?rw=1Otto Porter kept his momentum going against the Knicks in his 31 minutes in the starting lineup on Wednesday, scoring 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field with two rebounds, one assist, three steals and four 3-pointers. He is absolutely rolling right now. Over his last five games, Porter averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 triples on 51.9 percent from the field. If he can consistently make triples, Porter could really be in for a fantastic sophomore season

I'm not a big Melo fan, but let's be realistic. Without him, the Knicks are unwatchable.
Still, very nice to see Otto is ready to contribute in a meaningful way for the Wizards this season.

I was rooting for him to leave during the off season so I (in NYC for the foreseeable future) could finally become a Knicks fan. Oh well, eventually I will be able to enjoy an NBA game at the Garden
