Harden looks like he ate Kyrie, so that lineup may not be operative.

This has nothing to do with Hoyas in particular, but I will be amazed if Harden and Kyrie are able to coexist.

Playing 2nd (3rd, 4th,...) fiddle for the Nets, Jeff is getting his minutes and also contributing in a big time. Tonight vs the Bucks he was 5-6 (4-5 from 3), 6 rebounds, and a +9 (most on the Nets).

It didn’t work with Westbrook or Chris Paul and Harden and both were better than Kyrie. Durant was not there also needing the ball and the offense to stop for him, though Durant is the best player Harden has played with by far. And where’s the defense at guard going to come from? The Nets might be better off looking to trade Kyrie for a strong return, considering how good the Harden/Durant duo has looked without him and the problem of one ball and bad defense with him. Jeff just got put back into the situation he was in in Houston, only with Durant added. He thrived in that role in the playoffs, but wonder if Durant will take any scoring chances he might have had. He’s gonna have to be a big time defender for them. This team should do very well through the regular season, but think the may be undone in the playoffs - I’d still take the Lakers right now, at least.

If they can get the #1 seed then they only have to face one of Miami/Milwaukee. The Lakers roster is even better this year: Dennis Shroeder > Old Rondo Montrell Harrell > Old Dwight Howard Marc Gasol > Javale McGee But it's always a crap shoot in the West with Denver, Clippers, Golden State, Portland, Utah, etc, etc.

I should have posted about this earlier but NBA League Pass is free for this week. Jeff Green and Brooklyn are now playing at Cleveland, its about to go to double overtime. It's good that Jeff Green looks to be a permanent starter for Brooklyn with the trades. Kyrie came back for this game, and despite the talent, I could definitely see some problems with who runs the offense and takes the most shots with Kyrie. Kyrie made some questionable decisions when he ran the offense, but played well defensively. If Brooklyn wants to win, Harden should run the offense, with Durant being option 2 followed by Kyrie.

Bulls are having to manage Otto's minutes with a low back injury. Has already missed 3 games.

Not quite Hoyas in the NBA but Jaren Jackson hired as an Asst. Coach by Knicks G League Affiliate. He'll be in the G League bubble

It seems as if Jeff is doing better than Otto this season. Jeff scored 23 last night, Otto 3 points tonight.

He’s shooting 49% from the field and 37% from 3 last 2 years. He took a low salary and picked his teams, but overall been a good fit and effective. Dare I say, underrated.

Green has a nice situation where he is playing with familiar players who trust him. The Nets needed him to score a bit more as Durant had missed a few games coming back from minor injury. I believe Porter is not 100%.

I believe Porter is not 100%. I heard an interview with a Bulls' beat writer last week. He said that Porter can't move his feet on defense anymore, and has become a big defensive liability. He's been injured on and off for the past 3 seasons or so. Unfortunately, his body my just be too beat up. He is bigger and stronger than he has ever been before, and he can still shoot and play pretty well all around on the offensive end. But from what this beat writer said, his defense has become such a problem that he really is not a viable NBA starter anymore.

I think his frame and legs might not be able to carry the extra muscle which is leading to the injuires.

The big news about Harden's trade to the Nets was reuniting Harden with Jeff, right?

Has had multiple injuries since. Hoops hype says he is 36th highest paid player at 28.5M, but his contract runs out this year.
