Jeff started tonight and had 17 points on 8-10 shooting. Unfortunately, the Rockets were blown out by the 76'ers.

What a night for Jeff Green in the Rockets’ playoff opener! 22 point performance as he and the bench stepped up in Westbrook’s absence.

He’s been hooping since joining the rockets. History says he can’t be consistent (see takes on Twitter and career stats) but I do think the maturation of his game and blend with Houston could be good this year. Who knows about his next contract / team but he always had the talent.

What a night for Jeff Green in the Rockets’ playoff opener! 22 point performance as he and the bench stepped up in Westbrook’s absence. Jeff was great tonight. It really is amazing that he pulls out a game like this in a big situation every once in awhile (like game 7 of the semifinals for the Cavs a couple of years ago), but has never been able to deliver this kind of game on a remotely consistent basis. When he plays aggressively, even 12 years into his career, he can still be one of the best players on the court. +/- is clearly a flawed stat - but He was +28 tonight, which is impressive no matter how flawed the stat might be. The Houston style fits him well. With everyone spread outside the 3 point line, the lane is wide open for his drives. When Jeff can drive the lane with room to operate, he can be great. But he struggles when he has to drive through too much traffic. Jeff has played well since he arrived in Houston back in the winter. It would be great if he can help Houston go on a nice run through the playoffs. Jeff gets ripped on a lot by the NBA media because of his inconsistency, and because he has always teased greatness with games like tonight. But the guy has been playing significant minutes for 12 years in the NBA. Look at his draft class and see how many other guys are still even in the NBA - not many. And he looks like he still has at least a few more good years to go. Plus he has always been viewed as a really good teammate, and played on some very good teams. Really a very good career. Not the star he sometimes looked like he could become, but a solid NBA player for a nice long time.

That's not even considering the heart issue. Pretty great. I'm happy for him. He's always seemed like a really good man. Great to see him have a night like tonight. Hoya Saxa.

$78 million is a solid career. Has had very roller coaster career and contracts- this season a microcosm - got cut by a team part way through season for a playoff bound team then proceeds to play well Somewhere else.
Thaddeus young is from his draft class and was always consistent (if not boring career). Made $30mm more. Ian Mahinmi of course made $140mm (timing is everything).
I do think he is the type of player who (especially if he can get his 3pt shot to fall) ends up a solid role player for backend of his career, ironic given his athletic potential is what frustrated people the most.
For a guy who had heart surgery, everything is second to that, hopes he gets a ring one day!

Crazy, he played small ball 5 his Freshman (when Roy was just just getting his sea legs) year 04-05' and flourished. This is when he thrived. If I'm not mistaken, he also played the 5 at Northwestern HS.

Another good game from Mr. Consistency Jeff Green. 22 points on 8-13 and 5-8 from three with 7 rbs. Unfortunately, Houston tanked in OT. The only Rocket player with a better +/- and more points was Harden. Eric Gordon was -29. Jeff +5.

Is this the best post season Jeff has ever had? I believe he’s averaging over 20 a game thus far.

Clean up those free throws, Jeff! Guessing, though, that he hasn't shot too many.
