My favorite part of that is the critical comment after the article. "If you don't have power, you won't reach heaven." So effing good.

It's difficult for me to believe that Marcus doesn't fill a need for many teams. I know that there's, arguably, more "talent" in the League than ever before. But there's also less polish. Marcus isn't the most gifted player but what he does do, he does well enough to come off of the bench for several teams. I'm really hoping some GM sees his value and scoops him up. They won't be sorry that they did.

Otto has gotten off to a poor start this year. 4 pts on 1-6 shooting in a win vs Memphis. He was the only starter with a negative at -12.

And speaking of Uncle Jeff, the Sunday LA Times pro basketball page has been running a small weekly story on what different players view as their greatest game. Jeff was yesterday's subject. While I had hoped that his choice would be the Vandy game, he selected a game while playing with the Celtics where he scored 43 against LeBron and the Heat.

Speaking of the NBA and Hoyas, I was very surprised to learn the Greg is out of the league completely..playing in Europe at the age of 29. He got a max contract like 4 years ago?
Amazing to me. I know the league has changed and bigs who aren't fast and/or don't shoot the three aren't much in demand. But still...this guy is too talented to be in Europe. IF this has been discussed previously...my apologies.

IF this has been discussed previously...my apologies. He got terrible advice from David Falk only signing a three year max deal instead of a five year max. I get why they did it as they hoped to cash in when the contracts values jumped with the new TV money. Unfortunately the league completely changed. Also Monroe is culpable as well. He showed some perimeter shooting as a Hoya but never developed his jumper in the NBA.

While the Vandy game was more important, his game against Notre Dame in the BIG EAST tournament where I think he dropped 30 pts was a better played game by him in college.

Agree, as I was at the ND game (which won him the MVP trophy his father was showing off postgame).
