Otto currently 8/8, 4/4 from deep, 2/2 at the line with some boards.... golden indeed He shot 8/10 for 22 points, 5rbs, 2 assists, led them in scoring. Had a great game and didn't even get all that involved on the defensive end. Wait till he starts shooting the wing

www.csnmidatlantic.com/basketball-washington-wizards/talk/offensive-freedom-allows-otto-porter-break-outOffensive freedom allows Otto Porter to break out The projected starting small forward coming into the season and one of the Wizards' better performers in training camp, Porter made 8 of 10 shots, including all four of his three-pointers, for a game-high 22 points in a 129-95 preseason opening win vs. the Philadelphia 76ers. And he did it in just 24 minutes of play. "It was just John (Wall) finding me. Being in great position where I can catch and shoot, knockdowns, cut to the basket or whatever," Porter said. "I have the freedom to do that now. It feels good.

My wish list is for Hollis Thompson to get traded to a functional NBA Organization with a good PG. If he played on a team with a very good PG he could be a solid role player on a contender and play in the Association for 15 years. Top of my list would be the Clippers. I think he could be a better option then JJ Redick who plays absolutely no defense.

Josh Smith 2nd most minutes of bench players in houston's preseason game vs mavs. May just be because Howard out. But presume they are trying him out to make up their mind. 3/4 plus 9 rebounds in 19 min.
With Howard and Capella in front of him, rockets may keep him as 3rd string center with potential if he continues to work on his body. Not a bad org from a development perspective.
Rooting for him.

I agree that Booker should be suspended. It's odd that it's being treated as a joke. Open hand or closed fist, would it have still been funny if Roy took a swing back? He would have been within his rights to do so in that situation. I have no idea what was said but I do think that Roy overreacted. It seems a bit of a catch-22. I get the impression that Roy is trying to change his rep of being a bit soft with his new squad. And, if his rep were different, a guy his size would likely be able to say a few words in passing to a guy like Booker. While I'm all for sticking up for a teammate, that didn't seem a situation that warranted it. Not that getting in a guy's face verbally is a huge thing. It's a competitive game and things happen. And, realistically, I'm glad Roy is trying to change the perception of him. He has been and continues to work his butt off. He may not have been the most aggressive guy on the court to this point but he's not soft. I do think, however, that a lot of the time he's tried to play smarter than he needs to if that's a thing that's possible. He should use more of his well-earned muscle and his sheer size to intimidate dudes when the situation warrants it. I love that he's worked with Kareem and Tim Duncan but he needs some Alonzo in his game. Footwork and fundamentals are exceedingly important. But some bulldog (wink, wink) is as well.

Lebron or Kyrie Irving Dribble drive and kick out to Hollis for the moneyball.

Summers and GWhitt also saw the court last night, tho only for a few non-remarkable minutes each. Let's see some Hoyas blow up in the League!

Problem is he had a fg % in the game that would make Iverson blush. And this has been Roy's fatal flaw during his years in the league. He is too tall and has too good a pair of hands to shoot that badly. At the very least he should have by now learned to use glass to help out on that front.

I have it on good authority that Otto Porter will be featured in an upcoming Washington Post Magazine "Just asking" article. Should be a good one.
