The board at Pacers Digest is pretty worked up about Jim O'Brien and his complete inability to take advantage of big Roy. Examples:
Clark [Kellogg] "I'd like to see him (RH) get more consistent touches."
JOB, are you listening?
Roy Hibbert has made me somewhat excited about Pacers basketball for the first time this year.
Knicks announcers: "Why don't they go to him more often. They should be playing inside out."
Well i checked his minutes to see if he was running on fumes, not the case. So i checked his PF stats. uhh 0 So finally I went for coach = idiot
Knicks announcers can see the obvious which our coach cannot. Hilarious.

If AI keeps playing like that, he WILL be starting. Not like he's trying to make the line-up for the Boston Celtics.

Big roy 3 for 3 with a block, steal and a couple of ribbies already. Looks good. Has put on some weight and looks to be at just the right amount of bulk for him.

12pts, 8 rbds, 3 blks, 1 stl, 1 ast, and only 1 foul. 2-2 from the line. Roy is a beast! Seriously no one on the wizards has been able to stop him. They should go into hibbert every time down.

only picked up 1 rbd and 2 fouls in the 3rd. just needs one rbd for a double double. Didn't watch this quarter though so have nothing more to add.

Hibbert checks out with 3 to go probably for good. A great line: 12pts, 11 rbds, 5 blks, 2 asts, 1 stl.

Roy was great, especially in the first half. He seems so much more fluid and agile than he ever did at Georgetown. As usual, his presence on the court was better than even his solid stat line- he altered shots, passed well and generally took care of business. He was smiling and really enjoying himself.
The Wizards, not so good...

Before getting carried away, I see the Wizards' center, Haywood, got 19 rebounds; and, that Roy's teammate, Tyler Hansb...... got more points than Roy. Of course Tyler gives more on the court than anyone in history.

It's incredible even in the NBA tyler makes his living at the line! 7 of his 13 pts were from the free throw line. I'm sorry if you throw your self into the defender it should not be a foul. I hate that. But all refs call that. You lower your shoulder or leap into the defender it shouldn't be a foul.
And it's not really fair to compare people on opposite teams hayward played 8 more minutes than Roy and wasn't always covered by roy at all times. And if you want to play that game you could say that roy had more points, blocks, and had a better =/- than hayward.

Roy had a great first half but a not-so-great second half when he scored no points and got maybe 3 rebounds. He also ended up with 5 personal fouls. I'm really enthused about Roy's greatly improved game this year, thanks to his working at it constantly, but he still has a way to go to be a premier center in the NBA.
