espn.go.com/college-sports/basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/124658/jimmie-taylorgeorgetown.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1332057Post players that are 6'10, long, athletic, and show some skill will always draw the attention of the best college basketball programs in the country. If a prospect combines all that with great academics, they can pretty much have their choice of any school in the country to play college basketball and that seems to be the case with Greensboro (Al.) power forward Jimmie Taylor. UGASports recently caught up with Taylor to get the latest on his recruitment. "I would say Georgetown, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky are the main schools I talk to," said the 6'10, 215-pound post player. "All except Kentucky have offered. They have been showing a lot of interest, just no offer yet."

I thought the Green Bay Packers retired Jim Taylor's jersey some years back.

blurbs from Rivals from October when he was at the USA Basketball mini-camp in Colorado (when he really impressed people/showed improvement)
Jimmie Taylor, PF/C- The thin lefty from Alabama has come a long, long way in the last year. He can run, is an eraser of shots on the defensive end and is really starting to figure it out offensively. He's still in need of strength, but has gotten much more aggressive and physical.
Long and slender, Taylor is every bit of 6-9 with an impressive 7-foot-6 wingspan. He can run the floor very well, is a shot rejector on defense and has become a force on both the offensive and defensive glass.
Taylor hit 15-foot jumpers, jump-hooks and spun by defenders for dunks. At times, he barked at teammates for not getting him the ball. Not because he was being selfish, but because he had it cooking on the inside and he wanted to go to work.
Consider this about Taylor as well, he just turned 16 in September and by age could easily be a part of the class of 2014.

Ranked the 19th overall prospect in his class according to ESPN. (A few notches below Beejay Anya at #15). I like Taylor's upside....he's just the kind of player we could mold into an nba 1st round pick.

The kid reminds me of a fellow named Art Long I battled in the paint in high school. Could be his son.

When you battled the same Art Long that played hs ball in NY, where you are from, BRONXie?? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_LongYou are not very good at disguising yourself there. Also, it would help your cover up if you toned it down and did not post exactly as you did when you went away.

New York is a big state. Bronx must be from the Bronx and Mr. Long is from 400 miles away. I guarantee you Mr. Long did not play any teams from the Bronx in his high school career. I was there I would know.

Was that a mistake too, or are you still claiming to be a female that battled men down in the paint, in high school?

Art Long had a sex change operation. When Bronxita took on Art, Art was known as Artesia.
