I'm sure some of it is Alabama's offense, but that was some much better zone defense than I think we saw even in Maui from the Hoyas in the first half. Offensively, it's been mostly ugly outside of some stuff from Henry and Jason, but overall I'll take it.

Like I said before the game, Alabama isn't very skilled. Alot of length and athleticsm but not that impressive.

Hopkins gets that "aww i dont want the ball right now" look every time he gets the ball. Wants to pass it the second he can but to nervous and skittish to do so well.
Good to know games like these are winnable when one of Hollis/Jason can't hit a shot. That said, Jason has played well.
Having made the gimme shots, (Greg, Hollis) we'd be up big.
Zone D looking great. Also loved all the freshman pt they are getting early.

Our zone is active, but Alabama has no clue how to attack it...they havent sent anyone into the middle of it to break it down, part of the time that Big guy with the hook shot was in there...I dont think they would trust him to throw it to...I expect them to play muh better versus it in the 2nd half with Green looking to shoot that 15fter in the middle of it.

Yeah Hopkins is out of his element but love that he is getting real minutes. Only way to get better.

To be fair to Hopkins, he shouldn't be asked to handle the ball. Just Let him defend and rebound and he is ok out there.

Alabama's D might be good, but we still squandered a lot of opportunities we wont be able to get away with in the 2nd half. Gotta capitalize on all the easy attempts, otherwise a strong defensive effort is wasted.

When the hell did Henry Sims learn that dribble drive?
And which of Greg, Roy, or Jeff will claim credit for teaching him?

Especially at the top of the key. Don't mind him getting the ball down low, it's the only way he can get better at it. Just too awkward with it right now.

Must find Hollis some shots. Hollis found 6 shots, but he missed all of them. 3 rebounds and 3 assists though.

We've got to keep denying them second chance points. Things started going a lot better on both ends once we started pulling down the defensive boards.

We got nothing offensively from Hollis, but still are up. Doubt he'll be shut out in the Vesper. No one other than Henry and Jason has shot well. Thus far we have controlled the middle.

From what I've read and now see, if that's the #12 team in the country right now, the Hoyas are a top 20 team. We're getting some good looks on O, just need to finish around the rim. Like that we're just not jacking up 3's. Need to get Hollis going.

Need to find Hollis posting up. The shots he has taken so far have been tough looks.

Offensively, it's been mostly ugly outside of some stuff from Henry and Jason, but overall I'll take it. To be expected with a young team in their first true road game though. Hollis needs to start playing better offensively and hopefully in the second half everyone else can settle down and start hitting some of the open shots they've missed. Once Alabama figures out how to attack a zone offense we will need offense to start producing. Good learning experience for this team.

Can't count on Bama shooting like this for another half. We need to get some early points and put the pressure on them to rush things. I'm loving the edge on the boards.

Must find Hollis some shots. Hollis found 6 shots, but he missed all of them. 3 rebounds and 3 assists though. Well, Hollis should have one FG at the half. That was a horrible no call (even if the ball was going to clank off the front rim, which it almost certainly would have).
