Lets see what Otto does as the feature guy before we put him in that context. He did well last year as the 4th option when defenses were not checking for him. Im not saying he will not translate into the dominant force that we think he can, just that it is not a foregone conclusion it will happen. We have seen players struggle to be the feature guy and some who have taken the mantle and ran with it.

This list is top RETURNING players in the Big East, with people like Adams, Coleman and Blackshear never having played so much as a possession in the league. Otto, for my money, is easily one of the top seven or eight returning players, and that's being conservative. It just rankles me, me being a media member, how many actual media members don't know squat about the stuff they write about.

I generally assume most media members know more than they write, and that they simplify for the audience. But man, this guy is never right; his agendas are all over what he chooses to report. I don't think he really knows much basketball, anyway.

Daytona, My post was not meant to be read as a reply to some meaningless guesswork by Zags, which is why I did not attach it to any reply. I was simply saying for those that fear Otto will bolt after year 2 into his collegiate career. I expect him to be great, but we will have to see what happens. The landscape and his role will be entirely different is the point I am making. Not a foregone conclusion he will be that guy.

Ranked #13 by BP in a re-ranking of last year's Top 100 freshman. Interesting to see where some former targets landed on this list. Mikael came in at 61 and Jabril came in at 57, which was also a rise for both. basketballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=2330
