Chuck can be an idiot at times (just like ESPN), but you really have to admire his frank and blunt way of cutting through BS and talking straight (no pun intended). Well said, Sir Charles. Barkley is also the first guy I'd expect would call a player he knows is gay a derogatory name. Guy is biggest hypocrite in media. Talks out both ends.

No, I think Kobe has demonstrated he would be the first.

I tend to think Barkley would be the first guy to call anyone a derogatory name. I think of him more as an equal opportunity offender/non-PC guy. Sort of a grown up, fat version of Tanner Boyle. I could be wrong tho.

Barkley is also the first guy I'd expect would call a player he knows is gay a derogatory name. Guy is biggest hypocrite in media. Talks out both ends. No, I think Kobe has demonstrated he would be the first. Bryant said something abusive/profane when he was angry at an official--shocking. Why were cameras following him to bench knowing that he was upset and he could very well utter something that shouldn't be heard? Do you think Bryant honestly felt the official was Gay? Or was he saying something in heat of moment? The people who get angry at others when they use profanity are as much of a problem as anything. Time/place. If Kobe Bryant goes up to Will Sheridan and says same thing-that is abusive and intolerable. To say it as he did--no big deal. Is it good behavior? No--it's stupid but it's also a guy being Editeded off at work--which so many ignore. Basketball "is a game...." well not to the guys who do it for a living. It's their job. We've all gotten Editeded at work and depending on where you work/what you do, it varies. People would've laughed if he said "Screw you Fat Ass" or "open your eyes you dumb MF POS". Same thing. If the official is openly gay or Bryant knew he was Gay--it is far worse. As for Barkley-he sucks up to all things Phoenix and knew that Suns Exec was Gay, so he's going to appear to be progressive. He's also same guy who shows emotions on TNT based on how his bets in Vegas played out on the night. Mr. Social Justice openly mocks white players, spit on a kid, and is now is progressive for defending Gay Rights.

Hilarious but true take on Sir Charles, but I still like him regardless. I, for one, have never called anyone gay at my office. I have, however, used much more offensive terms than that from time to time.

That's his choice if he choose to go that way. God bless Black women.
