Actually--if you watch UCLA--they are a nice example of a coach who was successful early in his stint there and then falling due to various reasons succeeding because of a change in offensive approach and allowing guys more freedom offensively.

Still hurts too much... That might have been the worst "important" game I have seen us play in over three decades following the team.

Watching the rest of these games, the sad, hard truth is clear: By the end of this season, the Hoyas simply were not an NCAA tournament caliber team. This team went from looking like a presumptive 2-3 seed and legit Final Four team on Valentine's Day to an NIT level team by March 1. Injury aside, I dont think any of us have any idea how/why that happened. It's a real mystery.
Oh well - I think I'll root for Macklin the rest of the way.

I dont think Kansas is too happy knowing that if they beat Illinois they get Richmond. Richmond reminds me so much of Northern Iowa

Butler by 8 over Pitt at half. Big East not what it was said to be.

At best the Big East gets 4 to the Sweet 16 and at worst they get 2. Anything less than 4 would be a disappointment now for the Big East. Those 4 though could legitimately make Final Four runs though. Who knows any more?

Butler by 8 over Pitt at half. Big East not what it was said to be. Unless you're one of the many people who said it had a lot of good teams but no real great teams. Then it's pretty much as expected.

San Diego State squeaks by Temple in Double OT. They move on to play either Cincy or Uconn in Anahiem. Which is essentially a home game for them

Wow, the end to Bulter-Pitt is incredulous. How can both teams be so idiotic?

The Pitt curse lives on..70 years since its last Final Four.

What a crazy ending to the Pitt-Butler game.
Clearly, Jamie Dixon needs to re-evaluate his coaching philosophy.
