Henry played pretty well. That's all.

Two things that killed us were freethrows(left 12+ points at the line) and Chris on the bench. But hey, everyone wanted Chris benched for the rest of the season anyways so most here should be happy.
This game was over when we got down by 10, we don't have the offense, let alone the defense, to make a comeback from down 10.

All I'm saying is this group has come back from big deficits before (15 against uconn, 23 against Syracuse).

Yea, that team had players that could score offensively, even if they were bad defensively as well. This team doesn't. We haven't broken 60 in Big East play against anyone but DePaul. It's not happening.

He made two very stupid fouls including one where he pushed a guy who was about to give the team a turnover. He had to sit w/2 fouls.

a comeback is not totally impossible.
The first 5 minutes of the 2nd half will tell us if we should anticipate a comeback.

The play where Chris picked up his second foul was an obvious back court violation against Pitt. The FT shooting, like just about every other aspect of our game is aweful. If we made our normal %, we would be only down about 10 and have a chance. We need a 3 point shooting barrage to get us back in it.

This team plays with no heart or intensity. I have officially given up on the season and will not waste another dime watching them. Absolutely embarassing. I know, they don't deserve you as a fan. They better start winning to persuade you to come back...

I'm just pointing out you can't deny how big of an impact his absence has been in this game, which is contrary to what some were saying before the game. They wanted our starting guards benched, they got benched, we went down by 13. And Chris was definitely over aggressive, but I'm not sure we should be turning our noses up at over-aggressive defense right now.

a comeback is not totally impossible. The first 5 minutes of the 2nd half will tell us if we should anticipate a comeback. we will have to shoot lights out and get stops. we have shot lights out before. but as Coach said, we aren't getting stops. Pitt is basically getting anything they want on offense without trying too hard.

It is not practice it is game attitude and we have no guts so far in BE play. We do not dominate we do not anticipate that we will win. THat is the mindset of this team after the first 5 mins of each of the past 3 games. Who sets the attitude of the team? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?

Lets give credit to Pitt too. They're making most of their jumpers, even the ones we try to defend.

I have stayed away from the board for a little but I can't imagine people who really think we can go too far w/o Chris the rest of the way. I'm not convinced he would have made too much of a difference today but hopefully he will in the second half. And absolutely Pitt deserves credit. They're essentially the team we though we could be after our ooc wins. Great shooting guards and a bevy of big men who do the dirty work except they also have great defense and a coach who actually knows what he's doing in game.

The ESPN boxscore is already showing Gtown at 12-5 and 1-4 in the Big East. I guesss this board is not alone in its lack of faith in a comeback.

Watch out NOW JT3 yelled at an official. He might want to shift his attention to his players....

At least we've been consistent in our scoring. Besides Depaul where we scored 36 at half (not much either), in the other four games, we have scored 26, 26, 25 and 24 in the first half. Baffled.
