than the annual New Year's Twilight Zone marathon on the SciFi channel? I dare say no. I've been enjoying the Buffy marathon, myself, but a little disappointed that it's been mostly Season 4 all weekend. Not my favorite season. Network choices for holiday marathons are sometimes mystifying. You can always count on SciFi for the Twilight Zone, and it's always good. I thought it would have been cool if they showed a BSG marathon though. USA totally dropped the ball. This weekend screamed for a Burn Notice marathon (or hell, even Psych), but USA chose to go with House, NCIS and SVU all weekend for some perplexing reason.

SVU's prsence is actually quite understandable. Under a little-known corollary to the Caine-Hackman doctrine, a David Wolf production must actually air at all times in the USA.

I'll admit to having partaken in the SVU marathon New Years' days past. But I just could never get into NCIS. And while I enjoy House in small doses, I can't watch more than 2 or 3 episodes at a time. Too redundant and formulaic. (Sure, SVU is formulaic too, but every now and then, Ice T gets some good screen time or Stabler roughs someone up, and that helps keep things fresh.)

I admit that I hardly ever watch much TV (other than news and sports), but thoroughly enjoyed several hours of Discovery and Travel Channel yesterday, which--in tandem--were playing When Fish Attack, When Vacations Attack, Moose Attack, and Rise of the Jellyfish. Good stuff.
