Matlock, Murder She Wrote [/easyed] Speaking for myself: 1. Georgetown basketball. 2. Redskins football. 3. Local and NBC news. 4. Nothing else because reading and surfing the web are more fun and educational than the garbage on TV.

Boo on #2, ed!!
That is the worst television program in history. It is both poorly directed and poorly acted.
(EDIT: I was remiss in not adding how awful the executive producer is.)
The guest stars usually are excellent to watch though!
;D ;D ;D

I have to do this by day to even remember it. I DVR everything mostly because I hate commercials.
MON: Anthony Bourdain and yes, I'm a educated white girl who watches Monday Night RAW TUE: NCIS, Glee, Raising Hope (LOVE LOVE LOVE it) WED: Criminal Minds, Project Runway, Top Chef/Masters, sometimes South Park and I went back to Survivor this year after a long layoff but unsure if I'll stick with it THURS: Community (HUGE LOVE as well), 30 Rock, The Office and sometimes Parks and Rec FRI: The Good Guys (vastly underrated), The Soup SAT: SNL SUN: Family Guy, Amazing Race and occasionally Simpsons
MY FAVORITE SHOW: Echoing The Stig, Top Gear (UK) owns all. I will not watch the US version for anything. I love most British TV in general. For current shows, The Inbetweeners is BRILLIANT.
NETFLIX: Arrested Development (I've seen 'em all, I just miss it), The Office UK and still deciding on what else
OCCASIONAL VIEWING: Mostly random reality shows like Billy The Exterminator or the latest MTV Challenge.
WHAT I'VE GIVEN UP: I quit House for good middle of last season and I've had it with all of the Real Housewives

Currently Watching:
Monday: HIMYM, Hawaii 5-0 Tuesday: Raising Hope, Running Wilde since i loved arrested development. It's not nearly that good and it seems like it's only being shown like every 3 weeks, but it's still worth watching. Wednesday: I guess the seasons just ended but I was watching south park and Ugly americans I love futurama when it's in season too. Thursday: The 4 NBC comedies, which pretty much go in order of how good they are now. It's always Sunny, The League, Burn Notice. Sunday: Family Guy, Simpsons, American Dad.

IFC, after running reruns of Freaks and Geeks this summer, is now rerunning Undeclared, which only ran for one season but was hysterical. Recommended to anyone who hasn't seen it -- Judd Apatow creation, features a young Seth Rogen and many other familiar faces.

For those geeks waiting for Game of Thrones, a long preview/making of will run at 8:45 next Sunday, December 5th, before the Boardwalk Empire finale.
I'm a big enough geek that I'm debating not watching so as to not spoil the actual show.

As a huge Parks and Rec fan, I am actively offended by the ongoing presence of Outsourced on television. The only good news is that NBC's ratings are so bad across the board that they are going to bring Parks and Recreation back and keep Outsourced in the same Thursday night lineup starting in January for lack of any alternatives.

The thing that actively offends me about Outsourced is that Community was given a crappy timeslot (vs. Big Bang Theory, which got moved to Thursday night at 8 PM) and Outsourced was given a good lead-in (The Office). Community's ratings are now so low that you have to wonder whether it gets the axe and Outsourced gets renewed, and it all has to do with timeslot.
I would have no problem with Outsourced (other than it looks horrible) if they just moved it to the 8 PM death sentence slot.

Nothing to watch last night (thanks Colts), so I decided to take Bando's recommendation and give The Walking Dead another chance.
I'm still not that crazy about zombies. It provides an easy excuse for superfluous gore that is entirely unnecessary in my opinion. Parts of the show are plain unwatchable. I am not opposed to using graphic gory scenes in principle, just when they seem to serve no purpose other than shock/gross out value.
On the other hand, it is very well acted (save Michael Rooker, who seems to be capable of only playing one role: that of Gary Busey in real life) and the story is enticing.
I didn't see the new episode last night, just caught up on the ones preceding it. They were all pretty good, except for the fourth. Again, it was well acted, with a powerful ending, but the overall story in Atlanta was cheesy and contrived (though I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen an infirm grandmother used as a deus ex machina before, so that was new).
My overall opinion is that it is a good, not great, show. I probably won't go out of my way to watch every episode, but will most likely catch up with it on On Demand from time to time.
I am intrigued by AMC's next series, The Killing, even though I find Michelle Forbes very, very annoying.

Top Gear UK is great. Giving Top Gear US a shot. Gotta give them a season or two to build the rapport and chemistry the UK version has. I've seen replays of the first season of the UK version, and they were as awkward as the US one has been. That said, Tanner is a better driver than Clarkson and watching him beat the crap out of the Viper and the Evo have been orgasmic. I'm not sure the show will last a couple of seasons, but once they start writing their own bits instead of reinterpreting ones from the UK version, they could settle in nicely. Just dump Ferrara for someone like Adam Carrola (or another sarcastic goober who knows cars) and you'll be set. I was quite pleased with the 2nd episode of US Top Gear. Again, nowhere near the UK version, but it was a clear improvement over the 1st episode in every way. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. You're also seeing a bit of a dynamic emerge - Tanner Foust is the mature voice of reason (who can also literally drive circles around the other 2) while the other two cock about, as James May would say. Wood and Ferrara need to improve on their cocking about, although Wood is better at it. It's interesting you mention Carrola, since he was cast in the first attempt to make a US Top Gear. The problem with the hosts right now is that Foust really has to carry the show, and he just doesn't have the charisma to do it. He can be the driving expert host, but he can't be the Clarksonian first among equals, and he sort of has to do that right now. The show needs to bring in somebody with a bigger name and a bigger TV presence to really make things work. I'm no Jay Leno fan, but he would be the PERFECT guy for the job. He turned down the opportunity before, but it would be great if they got him to change his mind.

The Event is the lame bastard child of "Lost" and "FlashForward" (which was a slimy bastard child of "Lost" and... something else). The Walking Dead is ridiculously awesome and the best cable show going right now (HBO, FX, AMC, etc). Yeah, I said it. Suck it, Mad Men. New Top Chef starts tonight. FOOD PORN!!! Wow, back from a lengthy hiatus with a 'Foeva-style three post string! I like that style. I also agree that The Walking Dead is really very good. I liked the last episode, too. Boz, I recommend watching. Part of the episode, in a way, reminded me of something from late-season 1/early-season 2 of Lost. For some reason, I end up falling for the slimy-bastard-child shows. I actually rather enjoyed Flash Forward. And the Event is good enough. I don't have HBO, so no Boardwalk Empire, and with Mad Men on break, I just need something to fill my hour-long drama needs.

Main reason I watch Outsourced is because it comes at the end of a pretty good 3 show line-up.
