Anyone think that coach should/would start Chris on Saturday for one play? If 'Cuse wins the tip, let him play completely passive defense and maybe give up a bucket. If we win the tip, immediate TO to sub him out?
I think it would be fitting to have his named called at Verizon one last time. And if we can't make up whatever harm is done from having him on the floor for 30 seconds, then we don't deserve to win anyway.

This team has 3-6 games to figure out how to win without CW before the NCAAs. Hope they can pull together, and not get put off if they drop a few in a row against the brutal BE.

Maybe they can hit his wrist with some serious painkiller injections pre-game and have him go Willis Reed late in the second half.....One can dream.
Get well soon Chris!

sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=6153329Idk, but Coaches comments make it seem like the timetable is entirely up to Chris. I think we see him sooner then expected/is medically advisable but honestly, its his hands. Chris is a warrior and WILL play through pain, just hopefully it heals enough by the time he comes back that he doesn't re-injure it easily. CHH - can you do that in College sports? I know they do it in the pros but its not sure about College. I'm sure 10 advil/Tylenol won't do the job

Take it for what it is worth, because Zagoria is the only one saying this. I am sure we will here more definitive word soon.
GtownVoice RT @adamzagoria: Chris Wright expected to be out 2 1/2 weeks with broken left hand, team source says. Would mean no BET, poss. for NCAA Tour

There is no way we'll know how long he'll be out until we know what he broke, small bone in his hand, distal arm bones etc.

Agreed. But, there is also no way that Fox Sports knows that it will be 6 weeks, so this makes me feel better

I find it hard to believe that national writer Goodman has inside sources inside the notoriously tight-lipped Georgetown Athletic department. I also find it difficult to believe that Adam Zagoria does too. When Tarik posts something, then I'll believe it.

I mean, knowing Hoya Paranoia, will we ever find out what exactly happened? JTIII might go Boeheim on the press a la Onuaku's injury.
Get well Chris! You are the man.

I think we can be pretty certain that Chris will try to come back earlier than the "experts" will predict. How effective he will be is another thing.

Chris's second foul, about ~4 minutes into the second half, he was trapped, thrown to the ground, I distinctly remember a "crack" reverberating through the Phone Booth like a longball off of Roy Hobbs' bat. Worst memory in (live) Hoya history

With a medical center as prestigious as GUH, it will be difficult to hide his exact injury after the fact (see AF's diabetes status) some of us here with connections to GUH already know the news, but cannot ethically reveal it on the boards

Didn't West Virginia lose their starting/reserve point guard last year and make a run to the Final Four with a BE POY candidate and a bunch of other guys? Can't remember if it was Mazzulla or Bryant, but he came back in NCAA and was not the same though he did contribute here and there. I'd say that's the best we can hope for in Wright's return if it happens. 15 minutes a game handling the ball, distributing and making a layup if it's open. So it really doesn't matter if he comes back, he won't be nearly the same player he was the past several weeks. We need to find another way/player(s) to get it done. Beating Cuse, winning one game in BE, and two games in NCAA is the most I am hoping for right now.

At this point, speaking as a physician-to-be, it goes beyond Hoyas basketball and what is the right thing to do by Chris Wright. He obviously wants to play and finish out his Hoyas career in a better way but I imagine he has bigger dreams he'll needs to be ready for. I do hope, of course, he can make it back for the NCAA's.
