Auburn has a new arena, a decent wbb history and $$$$ Bin-go. You had to know she wasn't long for Gtown. As soon as her current senior class was done I had a feeling she would be too. Perhaps more stability of the BE and the type of facilities one could take seriously would have kept her here.

BE is the best conference for women's basketball. I'm sure facilities had a lot to do with it. That and lack of crowd and likely institutional support. Maybe she just didn't think she could win having to go up against Uconn, ND and a lot of other ranked programs like Louisville, Rutgers, Depaul, St. John's this year.
Easier to win in the SEC I think.

From ESPN:
Kentucky may have lost its starting five to the NBA on Tuesday, but its chances of landing one of 2013's top recruits improved significantly.
Coveted swingman Troy Williams (Hampton, Va./Phoebus), ESPN's No. 6 recruit in '13, eliminated Georgetown from his list of three finalists, leaving only UK and North Carolina to contend for his services.
And as we've found out in recent years, coach Calipari rarely loses the head-to-head recruiting battles. If there's any school that stands a solid chance to do so, though, it's UNC. Here's more from ESPN's Recruiting Nation on Williams.

So we don't play HIS style? Didn't know high school juniors had "styles".

Troy isnt that good of a player. He definately needs to play for a team like UK where he can get plenty of transition buckets. Offensively I wasnt impressed with Troy at all. I only saw him play twice but I live on the peninsula so I get the recap from every game. Defensively he is GTown ready but Troy would struggle in our offense because he cant shoot..........

He was never really going to choose us, it was just a nice gesture toward the Williams family

He's one of those kids that's more athletic and taller than the competition but whose game has not developed that much. Georgetown would've served him best by developing his game, but he can show case his strength of transition game better with his two finalists.

Williams is going to add 2 schools to his list and mentioned Georgetown again--imo UNC and UK are recruiting over him. From seeing him this spring--there are better prospects in the class for their programs and I don't see him as a fit at Georgetown at all. So this recruitment is going to come down to whether he'll improve his game or what school he adds that would take him--Florida, Louisville, and Nova are also mentioned as possible additions.

That's how I interpreted it to. Wants to go to one of those two but found out the hard way whoops I may not have a completely committable offer at this point

How can a top ten player get recruited over? I just don't get the recruiting ranking systems in place.

How can a top ten player get recruited over? I just don't get the recruiting ranking systems in place. Think about it--do you think if he had top 10 talent, he'd be recruited over? Williams is a good athlete--but not a good player. He can't do anything other then run/jump at this time. If Boo Williams wasn't his uncle and he played for "All Iowa Attack" he'd be a borderline top 100 kid.
