The DC Sports Bog, Dan Steinberg, took my "Manley Field House is officially closed" nomination for best DC sports quote ever (the last one listed). voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2010/08/what_are_the_best_quotes_in_dc.htmlIt got me thinking, what are the best GU Basketball quotes of all time? I'd be interested to see what some of the older fans on the board come up with, compared to some of the more recent fans. I may have to go with one of the variations of the "Who wants to sex Dikembe?" quotes. |

My favorite is one that never was uttered except in my mind. Like the Manley Field house quote, Geogetown had just defeated UNLV in the last game played at the rotunda of the Las Vegas convention center, so my quote was "the convention center is officially closed."

EDIT: Plus "Georgetown is the kind of school where students bring their Arabic and biochemistry homework to do while they're waiting for basketball tickets. They spell each other in the ticket line so nobody has to miss too many classes. LizziebethHoya has one of the best quotes in every one of her posts:

I know there are some on the board who don't agree 100% with this sentiment, but I absolutely loved it when he said it.
