Beast in the blocks? I'm salivating at the thought.

"When I watch Georgetown, they put their bigs in a facilitator role. They will be on the pinch post, they do a lot of ball reversal out of post entry pass sets. With a team like Ohio State, you can tell that their offense provides Sullinger with a lot of space, so that's something I look at to, like what kind of space do the bigs get on a team in their offense.
With Duke, their bigs set a lot more screens for their guards than Carolina's bigs will set for their guards. When you watch their fast breaks, Duke's bigs would get out and run to the rim a lot for easy layups, especially when Kyrie was playing before he got hurt.
When you watch Zeller and Henson, they run to seal and post hard and a lot of times Carolina's secondary break will work to get them a post touch and run some offense."

Forget about offering this kid a scholarship. JTIII should think about offering this kid a position on the staff. Thoughtful analysis. He really knows his stuff and, importantly, why he is looking at certain schools. Based on his comments, it's hard not to project that he will play with a high IQ on the court.

Yeah highly impressive breakdown. But if he knows that, why is he still into Duke? They haven't used a big man well since Boozer.

Does anyone have an update on our involvement with Parker? This kid is an absolute bruiser. He could pound the tar out of Ochefu on the low block from Day 1.

Strengths: With his combination of size and skill level, Parker is one of the elite big men in the 2012 class. He is a space eater in the post who can carve out position on the block. When watching him play you quickly see the skill he possesses; once he catches he has an array of post moves he is capable of throwing at you, led by the left shoulder jump hook. He is very adept at facing the basket from 15' where his soft touch enables him to knock down a jump shot or drive the ball one or two dribbles to the rim. His greatest attribute though is his tremendous hands which are soft and sticky.
Weaknesses: Over the past year there have been some questions about his stamina and conditioning which was much improved during the July evaluation period. He has obviously worked hard to slim down and cut some body fat. One area Parker could improve to become more dominant, but has a tendency to lose motivation, is on the backboard. If you could get his motor to run at an extra high level Parker could be a terror on the glass. Finally, with continued improvement in his physical conditioning and stamina, Parker will be able to withstand the pace of the game where in the past his level of play dropped quickly when fatigue set in.
Bottom Line: Parker has been considered a phenom since the ninth grade and reminds me of a Renardo Sidney-type player (big body, great hands, excellent skills) that has the ability to dominate his position. There is no question that Parker is one of the top bigs in this class and possesses the basketball skill to make an immediate impact at the next level.

Was the best player on the floor today.
Very skilled big with hands like magnets. I could go on and on, but this kid is the real deal. Makes it looks easy at times and if he continues to work on his conditioning, the sky is the limit. If the staff is intent on signing a big in '12, forget Ochefu, I'd take this kid every day of the week.
He'll be top 10 in this class when it's all said and done.

First shot for the team, pulled up and made a nice 3. Commentators talking about 1) how hes working to expand his game to include that range and 2) how hes been watching tape on Dwight Howard, Shaq, and some of the other All-Star Centers.

And don't forget, if you read earlier in this thread, the kid is really cerebral about the game. Sounds like a coach.
