Jeez RDF... can you give us a link so that we can read it for ourselves? Your sudden pessimism seems hard to understand if it really only involves scheduling.

NOBODY hosts kids during the NCAA tournament. Not one program involved does this--even when eliminated. They have exit meetings, coaches have to get ready for Coaches Convention, and in history of CBB, I've never seen a team host someone at that time of year on an official visit.

Bums me out that UK is now considered the "heavy favorite" and that georgetown seems to be an afterthought. We could really benefit from Nerlens.

After dealing with the "advisors" ($$$) for long enough, they probably have enough on these kids to prevent them from ever playing in college if it's not someplace they want.

Every team on his list could benefit from having a player like that. One thing that has to be pointed out and some won't care to here---the Hoyas really haven't done themselves many favors to help their cause in the recruitment. His contact coach was initially Brennan--which is laughable. That's really something III needs to catch some crap for--I don't care if Brennan has the "area"--you don't allow a guy who has no presence to be the lead recruiter for the top player in country/program changing player. That's basically playing from behind from get go. III/Hoyas also recruited the guy like he was a '13 and why?? If I knew the kid was going to re-classify for over a year now--why wouldn't they? It's not like people weren't telling the staff this too--so really comes down to some mistakes being made that I hope aren't repeated in future.

This thread is a waste at this point. Another pipe-dream on a big time player.

Can't really call it a day until he's either had a visit or we know he's not going to visit.

Was it a waste when the thread for Latavious Williams went to 50 pages....Hell no and it is not a waste now. I smell a Greg Monroe commit on the way.

he says he's planning a number of visits for his March Break. The Tilton School has March Break from the 9th-26th. So I mean I'm sure he can find some time that works for both him and Georgetown. Sure he probably won't be able to come see a game, but he's seen us plenty on TV. What's important is him seeing the campus and meeting with the team. Maybe playing a little pick up.He could easily visit sometime between the 11th selection Sunday and Tuesday the 13th when we'd probably leave for our first round game. I also assume the team comes back to campus between the 2nd round and the sweet 16. It's unusual, but it's not like he can't visit us during his spring break. Obviously depending on how far we go in the BET and NCAA tournament there's even more time.

What more could Kirby or Broadus have done if they were the leads RDF? G'town made his final list and he wants to visit. Seems to me that's the best they could have hoped for.

Prior to his JR year--Georgetown was leader/co-leader with Florida. You think Kirby/Broadus don't help more in this recruitment--specifically in that position entering the JR year? Broadus used to land Georgetown early commitments, Kirby has proven his ability as a recruiter too. This is a no-brainer and it's inexcusable for Brennan to be contact guy. There's even more to the story-but that can come out after Nerlens decides.

I'd love to hear your thoughts RDF after all this is said and done. But honest question: if his camp really is a circus and handlers are involved and he is not really driving the decision, would we ever really have a shot? When the top 2 choices are Kentucky and Syracuse (ESPECIALLY in this situation), I would think we could have JT2, Zo and Ewing themselves recruit him and it may not make a difference. Just speculation though on my part.
