Heck, good news for us. We're still in the mix. Too bad he will not be here for game experience, but maybe that cuts in our favor if he misses a UNC game experience as well.
Seriously, how could he select UConn at this point? They are likely going to have a mass exodus of talent, new coach, and no tournament. How could you?
I think we're one of 4.
Hollis, Porter, Whitt, and Nerlens. C'mon!!!

To add to what DallasHoya wrote, you could add the addendum that he wouldn't have to live in Kentucky if he came to DC. You ever been to Lexington? He's not going to be in Harlan County or anything. Noel should come to Georgetown, run the offense, anchor the defense and win a title, but to pretend that going to UK is as bad as going to Syracuse is just wrong. There are no Ashley Judd types going to Syracuse. Honestly, I think the offense/Big Man U history are probably the only reasons for him to come to Georgetown over Kentucky, unless he's particularly interested in academics, like Greg Monroe was.

You have to beat the best to get the best. That will certainly be the case with Nerlens.

IMO, just because a team does not make the tourney (UCon?) in a kid's senior year does not eliminate them, especially if that team has as much successful history as does UCon. Now there are a TON of reasons that, for most of us, would make UCon unattractive. I just don't think that this year's tourney prospects is one of them for recruits.

Forget this year, they are ineligible NEXT year. That most certainly will be a factor for a possible 1 and done kid

And also, even if he doesn't care about next year: Anyone with any talent on that UConn team is NBA-bound, Calhoun's future with the team is up in the air, and the team this year has basically fallen apart despite a ton of talent
That's not a team a top recruit would want to be a part of

This. I may have no use for Calishadi, but Lexington is a really nice town. I visited there once, and liked it a lot (but maybe that was because I got to see my old buddy, John Henry ;D).

Alright, so us vs. Cuse, Kentucky, and UNC. Wow, those are the big dogs. A win would be so sweet.

Noel says he will make visits when he is on spring break which is from Mar 10th to the 26th. It probably makes the most sense that he visits on March 11th for Selection Sunday. Big East conference tournament will be wrapped up on saturday while the ACC (for UNC) tournament will still be going on. If my memory serves me correctly, didn't Moses come to our Selection Sunday party two years ago and didn't Whitt come last season. Maybe not the party itself but both were on campus during that time and both committed soon after. Here's hoping that we hit the trifecta.

Yes, that sounds like the best day to me too, sleepy. I forgot about the ACC still having a game that day - that could be very good for our chances of getting him to visit on Selection Sunday. That would be great.

We seem to do well with commits when they attend. Hopefully he does indeed make it then. Get it done III

JTIII at Nerlens' final game today. Sounds like he is the only head coach in the audience.
