thank god....I wanted to keep quiet on this but no way we would've been happy as a fan base with this kid eating up a scholly..... For the most part I agree with your posts but I've always thought that this was by far your most off base observation. Georgetown's offense always needs shoots to spread the floor. Heslip again is tearing it up. Such a Edited - posing after hitting those threes. Sickening. Ugh.

I'd rather have Pierre Jackson if we're going to talk about who off Baylor's roster would impact the Hoyas the most for better. Give Georgetown a guard with that type of speed/ability to get in the paint and draw defenders, and then you can have more guys like Heslip. Until then, not sure how he'd fit in. Josh Thornton could shoot and he never played.

Were the Hoyas on Jackson's final list? I only brought this up today because of the idea that the Hoyas couldn't use this guy when he seriously considered coming here.

I get what you meant KG--just saying that this program has good shooters--but they lack a guy who can create the looks that Heslip gets at Baylor. Heslip can't get his own shot and all teams do to defend him is run at him/crowd him and make him put it on the floor. That's exactly how teams defend Georgetown guards now. If I were to take 1 guy off Baylor's backcourt roster and put him at Georgetown, I'd like Jackson. Speed/ability to get teammates shots when offense breaks down.

Are we going to keep this thread going for this kid's entire career or will we let this go?

I bet that if some of the posters who said "pass on Heslip, he wouldn't see the court here at georgetown"...acknowledged they were wrong that at that point, the board would move on.

How hard is it for some to understand that a kid like Heslip's role wouldn't be the same at Georgetown? Who on the team is going to create shots for him? Most of his shots come due to Pierre Jackson's ability to drive/draw/kick. It was about fit and not his ability to shoot the ball. My questions are:
1. What does he do for a team when he's not making shots? 2. Where are the posts when he was invisible and a complete non factor in Baylor games?
Hoyas passed on Myles Davis for same reason--and he's as good--if not a better shooter then Brady Heslip so there's another guy you can lament the "loss" of in recruiting. I'd much rather have Semaj Christon-due to what he could've added to the program--a dimension in backcourt the Hoyas lack--but some of you get angry when that point is brought up "WE get it--geez.....do you have to......". So the difference is......??

Its worth pointing out Pierre Jackson was a jc transfer. Just proves that sometimes its not the freshmen u recruit and develop, but known commodities in other ranks that u can add to really benefit the team.

Do we have a vacancy where we could have added Brady? I would not want hm over JT55, Whitt, Otto, or Hop. I saw limited action from Tyler but I saw enough to feel good that he can average 10pts in the BE overpowering people. So I don't get the argument because I definately don't want Brady over DSR, NN, or even BB. Brady would get few shots and I haven't seen him play BE defense yet. Let alone GTown Defense...................
