Big-time backcourt in this recruiting class of Madden and BJ Young. If Duke gets Austin Rivers and Omar Cook, their class will get more hype, but I'd take Arkansas'.

Ky Madden was never going to Georgetown. Talking to people with Arkansas Wings that became quite evident--just glad he chose Arkansas and really like their class a lot. Madden destroyed DC Assault's backcourt and Quinn Cook especially in Best Buy Classic game. Still say BJ Young is best guard I have seen in '11 class and he's the one with most upside to go to NBA--6'4, speedy, and smooth-scores easily but not by jacking shots up.

I told you folks in previous posts on Ky that he was not going here. He considered us but has always been an SEC lean and until he verbally committed to Arkansas was headed to Ole Miss and Andy Kennedy. He is very close to his family and was always going to stay close to his roots.

From ESPN: "According to the Akransas Democrat Gazette, ESPNU 100 shooting guard Ky Madden will not sign his letter of intent during the early period which begins on Wednesday (Nov. 10). Madden remains committed to the Razorbacks but is reportedly concerned about the number of guards on Arkansas' roster, the paper reports. Head coach John Pelphrey's 2011 class is currently ranked No. 3 overall on ESPN.com and features ESPNU 100 prospects Madden, Hunter Mickelson, B.J. Young and Aaron Ross aloing with Devonte Abron." I would be concerned too, Ky Madden. Very concerned.
This is one guy I would definitely take in 2011, at the risk of losing out on Anderson and/or Ochefu in Class of 2012. Not seen him play in person, but the clips and scouting reports are outstanding. He can do it all and has great size for a guard.

This kid is FOR REAL but even if he doesn't sign with the HOGS, HIGHLY UNLIKELY, the next school in line is OLE MISS. Ky is probably the best point guard in this class, ask Quinn Cook and if he had decided to go to Duke, his ranking would better reflect that. I would absolutely love for him to be a Hoya but think our time is better spent on the class of '12. Ky won't stray very far from home.

This guy will be a star in college. Not sure Georgetown's involvement at this point.

If he's opened his recruiting back up, we should go hard after him (assuming he can play next year). We really need a point guard next year. While I'd prefer going after a solid juco player, I'd settle for anyone who can take the ball up the court and break the press. If this kid can do all that and is 6'4, we'd be crazy not to do everything we can do to get him.
