SF from Landon listed Hoyas along with Maryland, VCU, Richmond, Xavier, Syracuse, GW, George Mason, Florida State, Penn State and Wake Forest.

kid can play a little defense and is pretty athletic, but other than that theres not too much to him.

Strong review from Scout's Evan Daniels at Peach Jam:
"Darion Atkins, PF, Team Takeover – On Monday I fielded question after question about this 6-foot-8, 215-pound post player. Atkins put together a strong showing for Team Takeover finishing with seven points and 10 rebounds. He was active on both ends, spent a considerable amount of time on the glass and he ran the floor well. He’s one to watch as the summer progresses."

"Darion Atkins - Several other Team Takeover players get the hype, but it was Atkins that got things done. The 6-foot-8 power forward has always had length and athleticism to spare, and he used those physical tools well in an impressive performance. With Takeover losing, Atkins came in the game and changed things around. He ran the floor, blocked shots, and finished above the rim with dunks. His play got things turned around, and eventually Takeover came back to get a key win, and Atkins was probably their best player.
Darion Atkins listed offers from Wake Forest, Penn, VCU, George Mason, George Washington, Maryland, and Boston College. Also he is hearing from Georgetown, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech."
I will not be one bit surprised if this kid ends up in the Hoyas recruiting class of 2011.
