Another guard on the radar: 2011 Juan'ya Green has Marquette showing most interest from Big East schools but Georgetown started to recruit hard over the last few months 6:17 PM Jun 4th via web New recruiting replacement for Brady? He's going to be a HS senior this year--so it's not a guy they'll be adding to the roster this offseason.

Brady most likely wouldn't have been contributing (if only at spot minutes) his first year. Either way, Id rather have the Scholly open for a younger stud then with a lower ceiling player taking it

Well looks like things may not be going our way at the moment. We lost Ty today to Villanofun so we need to offer one of our other top guard prospects. Personally, I think Bishop Daniels could work well but I'm not sure who else.
Also Rak is reopening is recruitment so we possibly could lose him but don't think that will happen. Lots of '12 Bigs too though...maybe we only take one in '11?

Losing Ty, and hearing that RAK is opening his recruitment after it appeared he was headed to GU (if one reads between the lines of comments about Cox and GU).
This is not at all a good start for our guys. Let's hope Kirby has some serious pull with a couple of great kids and that JT3 can make up ground quickly with others.

Well we still have Randle #63, Bishop #112, Ky Madden #19, Seagers #98, Kyan Anderson #137, and technically Cook #23 in the class of 2011 that are listed as PGs and are listing us.

Rak added RU and Cuse, but didn't re-open fully. Hoyas still there but gotta close. Not gonna rattle/pressure Amira, so gotta let play out.

Silly question but I am going to ask it any way....how big a loss is losing Ty when you have Markel coming in who is slated to be our starting PG of the future? From the couple of times I've seen Markel play and based on everything I've heard, he's the guy we want running the point from 2011-13. Is it just that we wanted more fire power by also having Ty? Would both Markel and Ty both have likely started?

Would both Markel and Ty both have likely started? My guess is Ty is not a game changer recruit. BUT, he was our top target whom we've been on for 4 years. Clearly, we wanted him. I would say RAK is a more important recruit and if he ends up coming we'll all forget about Ty. Nonetheless, it is pretty disappointing when you lose a solid kid whom we've been after for such a long time.

With Ty out, does Bishop Daniels become the next in line? I've only read about and seen video highlight clips of both these guys, but I have to say Bishop looks like a really exciting player. From what I read, he seems to be working hard at being more efficient......an exciting, athletic player who works had to improve sounds like a great target. Hopefully my impressions are accurate and we can land him.

The crazy thing to me is that Ty's game seemed better suited for Gtown, while Bishop's seems better suited for Nova or Cuse. I want Bishop, dont get me wrong but of the two I could have seen Ty being a star in our system and Bishop transferring out after his soph year. What's the boards feel on Vee? I personally like his game and expect big things next year from him. I expect him to approach double figures in minutes and points next year............

Midnight Madness. October 15th right?
I want to take the under on the first verbal recruit for the 2011 class. Mainly because I can't imagine having to wait longer.
