We got a terrible draw, know matter how you look at it. Tenny will be a tough game. There similiar to WV. I can't even think about Ohio St or Kansas, right now. If we make it too the final 4, this will be the most amazing run of any G-town team ever!

We should be okay to Sweet 16, but Ohio State and Kansas in St. Louis is a ridiculous draw. The BCS Foottball Schools that run the NCAA want us DEAD. We can maybe come up with one hostile court upset in the MW, but two will be near impossible. I think Ohio State is overrated so we are in an easier draw than the Kansas side. Kansas is actually in a tough draw. They will get either Michgian St. or Maryland both dangerous teams and then probably the Hoyas or Ohio State.

if you guys went to the BET youd know that WVU fans travel well. New York is very close to WVA relatively speaking. Plus it's a desirable destination to go to for someone from the middle of nowhere Morgantown.

Any 6 seed would be a tough game - you are talking about Marquette, ND, Xavier and Tennessee. i knew for certain the 2nd round would be a tough game. My concern was region, to be honest. I am glad we dont get a pod with Tennessee or ohio or SD SU in San Jose or Jacksonville or New Orleans. We got what we needed there, IMO.
The reason I think that our bracket is especially tough is because OSU is toughest 2 and Kansas is the toughest 1.

I suspect the committee looked at some of our weaker losses and slapped our wrist.

Scared? really? i do not wanna read the word scared when it comes to whos in our side of the bracket. There is no team in the field that we should be in fear of. we played in the best conference in the country, and beat two of the four number one seeds. we will not be in awe of anyone. stop with the scared of whomever blah blah blah. we wernt even in the tournament last year so u aint gonna see me complain about who we might play. just happy to be in again.

The reason I think that our bracket is especially tough is because OSU is toughest 2 and Kansas is the toughest 1. I think OSU is overrated. They play in a very weak Big Ten. The Big Ten is mediocre across the board this year. I prefer them to having Villanova, Cuse, West Virginia on our side of the bracket.

It's not a great draw, but it's not horrible. The bummer is being stuck with Kansas. That won't even matter if Gtown can't advance that far. Tennessee is on par with Marquette and ND. OSU is on par with the other 2 seeds. Would I rather be a 2 with Baylor as a 3? Sure. But the Hoyas lost 10 games. They could have avoided this fate with wins over USF, Rutgers, etc.

Thought I recognized this name.
From Pat Forde:
Armon Bassett (52). Last seen: Playing for Indiana in the 2008 NCAA tournament. Now: Led Ohio to a stunning Mid-American Conference tournament title after the Bobcats entered it as the No. 9 seed. Bassett was unstoppable in the tourney, averaging 41.3 minutes, 29 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 steals in four games.

I suspect the committee looked at some of our weaker losses and slapped our wrist. As cool, smooth Lester Freaman would say: "All the pieces matter."

Well, yeah, it sucks to be in Kansas' bracket, but I'm sorry, Tennessee and Ohio State don't really scare me all that much. Yes, they're good teams, but if we play the way we played the BET, we'll beat both of those teams, should we end up meeting them. If we don't we could easily lose, but as we've seen all season, it doesn't take a good team to beat us if we're not playing well. (sorry for all the "we"s) In other words, Georgetown's success -- at least for the first three games -- will be determined entirely by Georgetown, not by the opponent. But yeah, even if all those games work out, Kansas is a bitch no matter how well Georgetown is playing. Agree with this completely. We have proven throughout the season that we can beat/lose to ANYONE. GU's destiny will be determined by GU.......we could lose to Ohio or make the Final 4......neither would completely surprise me.

Many said we found ourselves in the worse possible scenario to capture the Big East Tournament crown ... I watched my team play Saturday

The won the Big 10 going away, they have the player of the year, and they ended up as the last 2 seed, apparently? Ouch. I cant complain too much about Kansas because I figured we'd be the last 2 or the first 3, but OSU shouldnt have been there with us and Kansas. Again, IMO, there is no S-curve. No one is going to care except people like us who it affects and bracketologists, but the committee f'ed the top 12 for sure.

Probably the worst Big Ten in years. They are nowhere near Big East caliber. Winning the Big 10 means nothing this year, it's not an accomplishment. I think most of the Big Ten teams will get upset in the early rounds.
