...and the guys that usually hit shots are missing them. clark, freeman has not played well since his first game back, then he's arguing with his own teammates.... confused.

Figures Mrsixer is back ... are you Bronxhoya's cousin?
I expect that other Hoya team I know in the 2nd half .. they(OHIO) couldn't have played any better then that. Lights out and our D is suspect. JTIII better fix things fast! Wake-up call .. we're lucky to be down only 12.

Hey guys, this is the NCAA tournament. Might want to act like you give a flying Edited.
Worst half of defense they have played all year. They got away from EVERYTHING that had been contributing to their success the last week and a half: defense, rebounding, avoiding turnovers and attacking the rim. Instead, we allowed them any shot they wanted, every offensive board imaginable, tossed the ball away numerous times for no reason, and fell in love with the 3 when it wasn't falling.
If I'm III I light into this team at half. Chairs thrown. Clipboards smashed. Whatever it takes. Because whatever the message is right now, it's not getting through, and it needs to in a hurry.

Even when they miss, they get the Off Reb and then pump it in from 3. Whatever they thought they had over the last week is long gone. Take a team lightly and this is what happens. On the bright side, OHIO can't stay this hot for the 2nd half, can they? Other than Chris, it doesn't appear anyone else gives a hoot.

Benimon, Vaughn, Clark=no offense, visibly slow on defense. Freeman: Non-factor. It's become a two man scoring output. The great 2nd halfs against Louisville and UConn were led by Freeman. Doesn't look like that is physically possible at the moment. But there is absolutely no hope without a complete 180 on defense.

Scary that all of those looks were wide open. Can't remember the last time a team didn't play one good possession of defense in an entire half.

THey are taking advantage of their quickness against us. We have such a decisive advantage inside, but are not really taking advantage of it. If the drive and kick or switch is giving us such a problem, lets go small in the 2nd half. But we cant switch to Jerelle or GM on Basset and think he aint gonna go right around them and finish or kick for an open look.

To be fair we have often been Editedty in the first half, oftentimes the same kind of lethargy, overall confusion on both ends of the floor and an alarming lack of intensity. I mean it has happened a bunch of times.
But that's not an excuse, and I'm not sure anything besides the UConn game (where they also hit every single open look in the first half) approaches what happend in this half.

Agree with Rockaway. We need to go to the hoop more. I'm not sure why we are a team that shoots only threes if we can't hit a backcut.

Pretty much nothing positive for GU in that first half. Is Freeman still on the team? I guess nobody got hurt in the first half, so we got that going for us.

I suggested sacrificing a team member at halftime, like Dougherty or Stepka. Not that they've done anything wrong, but just to scare the other guys a little.

Need I remind everyone we were down 8 with 12 to go in the same arena about 6 weeks ago? Let's all just take a deep breath. It's going to be okay.

we have trouble with flashy guards. have since jt iii has been here. not saying it's his fault, but we don't recruit great, great defensive guards.... anyway, let's see what happens, but if we don't push it and keep up this confused princeton offense...
couldn't you tell from the beginning of the game when we threw a lazy pass into the middle and turned it over... glad we have JT III he's smart and he'll figure it out. just don't lose your head gtown!

this sucks....agreed no intensity. Hoyas are playing as if this was a guaranteed win. I can see barrett having success...but a freshman guard in cooper that looks like he's in 8th grade? why the hell are we making him look like rajon rondo right now? Don't wanna end our season like this! Lets go guys!

I guess they didn't watch the ND or Nova game. Otherwise, they could have seen this coming.
