No worries, Nevada. It's in an obscure thread that might not get seen.
They're back on campus based on a report from a trusted on campus source.

WJLA showed some footage of them getting off the team bus yesterday -- seemed to be tired, but in good spirits!

If Rutgers was any good, this would be the very definition of a "trap" game, with a great win and a good road win behind us, and the Battle of Good vs. Evil ahead. Thank goodness Rutgers isn't any good. The USF game taught us to be ready every night, we absolutely get this done.

Has the storm let up that the team can get to Rutgers? I think they could take the train if need be. I am wondering how some of our track team members will get out to Seattle this weekend. Are the flights from National and Dulles good to go now?

Are the flights from National and Dulles good to go now? Most of the streets around Georgetown are already plowed, so as far as highways and runways are concerned, I would assume that everything is good to go.

Are the flights from National and Dulles good to go now? Travel should be back to relative normal by Saturday, which is when I assume they would leave. I don't think they'd want to travel on game day. They probably want to get back Sunday night however. More snow's a comin' on Monday!!! (hopefully not a whole lot this time though)

Weren't we supposed to learn about trap games from ODU? A trap game doesn't have to come immediately after a big win or immediately before a marquee matchup (or both), though that certainly adds to the trap. It can be as simple as underestimating a lightly-regarded opponent to the extent that one either is not prepared or does not put forth appropriate effort. By the weekend, the team should have no difficulty getting to Rutgers. I expect that they will have had enough rest, despite the travel difficulties from Providence, to be in good shape for the game. I'll refer to last month's thread: heres hoping to an early to give the bench some extended burn. would love to see hollis get a little confidence in his shot prior to su. An early lead with lots of playing time by the reserves would be important for more than just confidence... If Hollis, Jerrelle, Henry & Vee (or even Stepka/Dougherty) can play well enough for the starters to be in the 25-30 minute range, I'd be very happy. I wouldn't mind a period or two of wholesale substitution if we were able to build a big enough lead... ...I would watch out for Rosario when the subs are in. He'd likely try to take the opportunity to pad stats, but as long as we force him into low-percentage shots to do so, that would be OK with me; I'm confident that our starters will be able to do this, but the subs will have to be more effictive than usual in this area. Ndiaye is a block machine, so we have to aviod weak stuff inside. A number of other teams were able to limit his minutes with fouls, and I think we can do so, as well, though we'd have to be judicious about the kinds of contact we try to draw from him -- he's gotten a number of blocks from such attempts in the Rutgers games I've seen. Some of the stuff that works for Julian against others could get stuffed -- I'd like to see a bit of drive & dish by Chris if they're not collapsing to fill the lane... Some drive/elevate/off the glass by Austin/Jason with weak-side rebounding available from our bigs as Ndiaye is drawn out for the block attempt would also be nice to see. However we do it, get 'er done! We should win as long as we can focus.

Truer words...One thing about the PC game was that they stayed focused for the whole time. Nice and steady. That's what they need to do. Get a good lead, then worry about the bench. Every BE win counts the same.

This time of year for CONTENDING TEAMS isn't about your opponent--it's about improving as a team and momentum to close out a season--which means growth is shown by handling adversity (check--Providence game)--and taking care of teams you should hammer--no matter where game is played (Rutgers ?) so it'll be interesting to see if the Hoyas can keep improving and showing growth/maturity as a team--I think they learned a valuable lesson against a good USF team--and Rutgers has won 2 games at home and has ability to score if their guys get hot--so it's no gimme--as we know--no game in BE is a gimme--so just take the game to them--play hard and together--and results should make all Hoyas and Hoya fans happy.
NO LETDOWN!!!!

I wanna keep our eyes on the prize of a 3 seed in the BET. It will be difficult -- but possible -- to get, and every Big East win counts.

I will be at the RAC as well Cambridge. Not sure if any fans on the board that might have been on the fence about attending may need any additional motivation to go to the game, but Rutgers is offering a pretty sweet discount on tickets for the game on Sunday: "Valentine's Day Couples Special" - Couples can purchase 2 Promenade tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 sodas all for $20. Select "Valentine's Day Special." Online only. Not available day of game.Regular price promenade tickets are normally $20 a piece, so pretty good deal! There's just 2 catches to keep in mind with this offer: 1) You can only order tickets 2 at a time to get this deal (thus, if you want 4 tix, you have to purchase in 2 separate orders, but if you place one order right after the other, you should be able to get tix next to each other). 2) There is a $10 per order "Will Call" charge that is unavoidable. Still though, at an effective price of $15 per ticket (including a drink and a hot dog each), it's a good deal to be able to see the Hoyas. Also, this only applies to Promenade level seats, but based on past experience I think you can generally move up (i.e., down) to better seats if they're left unoccupied. Here's the link in case anyone is interested, just make sure you order before Sunday as it appears the offer is not valid on game-day: ev12.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventList?groupCode=MB&linkID=rutgers&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode=

Not meaning to be critical but for Henry to have 5 mins. no points 1 rebound and 2 fouls is not the stuff of which celebrations should be made.
