6'7 PF from Philly (but plays in NJ).. I Don't think the interest is heavy as of now on our part and he will most likely be 2011. Grades? ? From Northstarball.com: Jamir Hanner ’10, NIA Prep (NJ): Seton Hall, St. John’s, Georgetown, James Madison, Canisius, Siena, Niagara, Temple, St. Joseph’s, William & Mary, and Syracuse Offers: “James Madison and Canisius. That’s it so far because it always has been a situation with my grades. Now that I’m doing well at this prep school, I should hopefully [get more offers].” Favorites: “Not really, but my goal is to play in the Big East conference.” Note- Hanner stated that all of the schools besides Georgetown, William & Mary, and Syracuse are actively recruiting him. He added that “Seton Hall is highly interested” in him. As of now he remains in the class of 2010 as he “didn’t make that decision to be reclassified yet” to the class of 2011, but did mentioned that “it might” happen. - According to a source, both Amile Jefferson '12 and Devin Coleman '11 are expected to leave Friends Central (PA) after the year. Time will tell if this does indeed happen.

tidbit on Hanner from the NPSI:
•Speaking of NIA, someone get Jameer Hanner on the phone if Providence doesn't land Kadeem Jack. The 210 pound power forward battled the massive Mo Walker all game and dominated for NIA. Listed at 6'6, but playing more 6'8, Hanner's explosion (20 and 17) against Brewster reminded me of a certain forward who dominated for New Hampton a year ago who now averages 17 and 10 as a 3/4 hyrid at Fordham.
also a little tidbit on Mo Walker: •Brewster's Mo Walker has skills and size and is the type any coach would love to groom for a few years.

Kid made a big impression at NPSI, with a 20 point, 17 rebound effort on the 2nd day. According to Scout, said Charlotte and Seton Hall were the only schools recruiting him.

If Hanner is anything like Chris Gaston--count me as one who would love to see him in a hoya uniform. Gaston was killing people last year on AAU circuit and has been impressive at Fordham. He's the kid who dropped 30 and 20 on Dante Taylor despite giving up 3 inches to him and he's a warrior on the court.

Hanner seems to be a little slight but highly explosive and bouncy. He does not look like a back to the basket post presence but maybe he could be an energy player off the bench.
